In a past trade I proposed Guhle for Rossi and Wild fans wouldn't go for it so yeah... "Add Caufield to start the conversation" so yeah they're pretty high on him.

None of Harris/Struble/Barron + picks is gonna get him out and offering Reinbacher/Hutson is out of question

Maybe Mailloux + Calgary 1st could work but then again they'll probably spit on that too

He's a high-first-round draft pick, he's already at 20 goals this season, he's still on his ELC for another year, and Minnesota is thin at center and have no replacement for him. The rational intelligent half of your fanbase will know that he's unavailable and the homer half of your fanbase won't be any more rational about paying the price for him than they are for paying the price for Trevor Zegras.

    Kent Hughes being Fired?
He's a Size Queen and won grab a smaller player unless its for a bargain like flipping Kulak for a late 2nd used to gamble on Lane hutson.
Most all his picks are bigger guys not smaller guys. I means its different when they're core players you inherit like Caufield and Gally
Its quite another for Hughes to Choose a 5'9 player unless its for a steal as his History as a GM goes against that

Honestly there’s absolutely no way the wild GM turns down Guhle. If they are under pressure to turn this around quickly and genuinely are trying to move Rossi I’d definitely push for a deal based around Matheson but I’d maybe be open to Guhle if we’re really determined to keep Matheson long term.

I don't even know where all these Rossi rumours are coming from?

Why would Montreal want Rossi? With Caufield and Hutson they will already have 2 very small players playing major roles.

Then there are guys like Newhook, RHP, Ferrell, Simoneau, Mesar, etc...

Pass for me, the cost of acquisition isn't worth it, he's not the type of player Montreal needs to be looking at.

Even that Wild fans and hockey fans WAY OVERHYPE him, I REALLY don't see both teams doing that.

Overhyped or not, Rossi would be fourth on your team in scoring, well ahead of Jake Evans in fifth, and oddly, despite his size, is the only Minnesota forward to appear in all 73 games this season. (No other Wild forward has appeared in 70.)

Neither Guhle or Matheson get Rossi out of Minnesota.

It's been a long road back for him after his Covid scare post draft, but the kid absolutely looks and feels like the player they drafted him to be this year. Or at minimum, he's flashing that skill and high hockey IQ with more regularity.

Furthermore, he's 2nd in goals scored by rookies this year behind only Bedard. And is looking to finish 3rd in the Calder race behind Bedard and Faber while proving himself a legitimate top-six option at center for Minnesota.

But Guerin takes Guhle straight up for Rossi, like Hab fans aren't overhyping him too. 🙄🤦‍♂️

You're on drugs if you think a team would give up that high of a pick for him, Debrincat when he was traded was MUCH better then Rossi, like its not even comparable, the difference between them is much more then a 2nd and a 3rd

Agreed that's insane... Rossi is much closer to Newhook. Newhook has shown more than Rossi in years prior, he is 8 months older than Rossi but they produce at the same rate this year (Newhook missed time with an unfortunate ankle sprain).

I respect guys like Newhook and Rossi, but if you are talking about trading a top 10 pick, Guhle, or Mailloux + a 1st for players of that caliber you need to give your head a shake.

I mean Rossi has 20 goals as a rookie and will only get better
