3. Karlsson-Norris swap doesn't make sense for either team.

4. Calgary declines.

5. Winnipeg declines.

6. Seattle declines because Kartye is still on his ELC and the Kraken are really high on him.

Seperate both players on the Calgary side, they aren't a package, if you were the GM, what does it take to get each one of them individually and what situation are you in (re-tool or re-build):

Markstrom - They'd probably want a 1st in there and an above average pair of prospects 1 likely a goalie (he goes to a team in win now mode with a goalie issue)
Weegar - 1st and a A level prospect at the very least, he only gets moved in a complete rebuild as they would want the cap space. (Otherwise he's been great for Calgary if they're re-tooling they keep him.)

Not actually sure if Dubas would openly reject this. Norris healthy is tens years younger and allows them to move Malkin to wing if they want. RD becomes a problem again, but a lateral move with ten years younger might be worth the risk. No idea if Karlsson would entertain that risk or if Dubas/FSG want to risk taking a potentially LTIRetired player.

If Chychrun was an RHD, had more than one year of term and the ask wasn't Ehlers, Winnipeg would talk.

You can say what ever you want, EK contract ends in 3 years. Not extending 3 more years onto a guy who hasn't shown he's worth 8 million per.
At least everyone knows EK can play up to his contract.

Mangi for Chychrun? Sure thing but Calgary won't do the horrible trade proposed in the OP. No interest at all in trading even just one of Markstrom or Weeger for that trash.
