Campbell = cap dump

Even if you take those two out the rest of the package isn't enough to get both Konecney and Hart.

Meh, just another writer making things up for clicks. Kadri himself says it's not true.

OEL amp Garland for Huberdeau
We don't want OEL (nobody does) and we don't need yet another small forward.
Mind you Huberdeau likely would fit into Vancouver's lineup and systems better than he has in Calgary so far. But it'd take a lot better offer than this to get him.

second Boeser idea
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>T_Hip</b></div><div>I think the player you are referring to is Mangiapane and not Boeser.
Boeser 6.65M 46 points 0.74 pts per game
Mangi 5.8M 35 points 0.49 pts per game</div></div>
Changing the subject again? This post is about Boeser not Mangiapane. However...
You're comparing a one dimensional slow lazy player sheltered with mostly offensive zone starts who's the 2nd worst plus/minus on his team (only OEL is worse) to a hard working two way player with good speed who's a plus player while playing practically the entire year (except the last few games) on a shutdown line with mostly defensive zone starts.
Boeser is nowhere near the player Mangiapane is. The funniest part is the shutdown player going up against other teams' best players actually has more goals than the supposed goal scorer in a sheltered role.

The list was never disclosed. Obviously Florida was one the Blues were almost certainly another. Other than those two it's anyone's guess. My guess would be Tampa possibly Vegas and Boston or Colorado.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Dom1422</b></div><div>And PLD is a special case. He’ll only sign with a few teams.</div></div>
Matthew Tkachuk would only sign with 5 teams and look what he got. If Montreal is the -only- place PLD will sign then Montreal doesn't need to trade for him at all but if he will sign with even just a few other teams there'll be a bidding war.
Besides Meier had a 10 mil QO, Tkachuk a 9 mil QO. PLD's QO is a bargain at just 6 mil, he'll get quite a bit more than that no matter where he winds up... Including if he plays out his last year of RFA eligibility and signs as a UFA with Montreal.

Then PLD is a Jet for one more year. Next year after resigning him for his QO they'll either move him as a playoff rental or keep him for their own run if they're doing well.
Besides it makes no sense for Montreal to trade for him now. After the season is over sure but not now and it'll still cost more than this offer.

Fla - Van More trading picks as per owner
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Hitagi_Senpai</b></div><div>I don't like this from a Canucks perspective. Essentially they are paying a first next year, and Boeser for Reinhart. Then giving Garland away for essentially free.
I would like this more if the Canucks got something like Forsling as well in return. Buy out OEL, or move myers and you have your top 6 with a decent supporting cast at 7th and 8th D</div></div>
Florida doesn't have the cap space next year for this even if you take Boeser out. A 1st isn't enough to make up the difference in value between Reinhart and Boeser either. Boeser won't be fetching much without retention.
If Florida trades Reinhart it'll be to fix their cap problem next year not to make it even worse.

Would Calgary move him for futures
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Hitagi_Senpai</b></div><div>Oh yeah you aren't wrong. I think the leash he has is still long enough that he has the benefit of the doubt from ownership.</div></div>
Exactly, if ownership finally replaces Treliving then Sutter should get at least 1 year under the new GM. Hopefully one who's more willing and able to support the coach by bringing in players that fit Sutter's systems better. Sutter always talks about size and speed together but Treliving never brings anyone in via trade or free agency who has both size and speed far less one who also fills the team's long standing need for a top 6 right shot sniper. He just brings in big slow older 4th liners on cheap contracts.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Hitagi_Senpai</b></div><div>Calgary isn't bad. People only think they are. I think the team is "statement playing" when Sutter threw jakob pelletier under the bus, they team fell off a cliff. I think the team wants the coach replaced now. Sutter pissed off the team too much. </div></div>
It's not the coach. The team has been through 5 coaches (Hartley, Gulutzan, Peters, Ward and now Sutter) in the going on 9 years since Treliving was hired as GM. Pretty much a new coach every 2 years. In that time the one thing the team has done very consistently is be incredibly inconsistent, they'll play very well one year under a new coach and very poorly the next. If that happens once or twice it might be the coach but when it keeps happening over and over with multiple different coaches it's a problem with team makeup / individual player competitiveness and that's on the GM.
Even if you somehow still think it's a coaching issue you have to remember the GM hires the coaches too. The first thing that needs to change is Treliving needs to be replaced.
