That's too much retention just to get rid of guys that we don't have a strong need to quickly get rid of. If you can pull it off without retention, consider it, but otherwise this is handcuffing us in other ways - arguably being penny wise and pound foolish.

Also, Danforth is better than that.

Gaudreau has a full NMC. There is 0 chance he agrees to any trade, he chose to go to Columbus for his reasons. Now they're just going to have to live with that until 2027 at the earliest.

That’s awful value for Johnny without retention. Adding that much retention for him would bring back a massive haul. He’s easily the jackets best forward lately and they have no reason to move him

Dickinson is off the table, already extended with the Hawks. Hawks don't want Johnny Hockey, too much term for a declining player.

That's a relative bargain price for Gaudreau, but can't see the Hawks having much interest in Johnny Hockey. They need some size in their top 6. And Hawks don't want guys w/ that much term left.

These are terrible from top to bottom, you should go back to worrying about the Avs
