No chance the Canucks do that, and no chance Reinhart is worth the equivalent of 3 1sts. Sure he's better than he was in Buffalo, but you have to look at the underlying factors too. Buffalo traded his RFA rights to Florida, which guaranteed Florida at least 3 years of control. He's now a rental, and a rental has significantly lower value than a young player with 3 years of team control. If Reinhart gets dealt, it's for something similar to the Horvat deal, something like Reinhart (50% retained) for a 1st, solid prospect, and a roster player to make the cap work. No rental is going to return 3 1st round picks, especially from a team that would be 100% certain they don't have the money to even consider resigning said player.
