Vlasic just finished his first full season of professional hockey and was skating top pair minutes by the end of the season in Rockford. He is a big, smooth skating, defense first d-man who has look good in that same role in his brief stints in Chicago. To trade him now for a 33 year old Brodie who clearly looked like he had lost a step in the playoffs and has one season remaining on his contract and a 3rd would be foolish. To suggest the Hawks could flip Brodie for another pick at the TDL is just conjecture, his level of play could just as easily diminish this season and make him untradeable. Many people were speculating that Anaheim would be able to flip Klingberg last season for a king’s ransom and only ended getting a couple of mid tier prospects and a 4th.

Sharks have 1500 forwards, not sure there is room.

Adding Nylander is just diminishing returns for Edmonton. Their offense is already OP. They really need to address defense.
