Morrow's probably number 2, but by FAR number 1 for the Canes is Nikishin

I was stuck between them but I’ve seen morrow play live multiple times and he impressed me a lot

Nikishin just rewrote KHL record books. Morrow is excellent, but Nikishin is just different. He's the best defenseman in the world that isn't in the NHL

Is Holloway not considered a prospect anymore? I assumed he was EDM’s best by far

Yeah, Morrow ain't the Canes top prospect. Same goes for Lavoie and Evangelista. I'd also want Coronato before Wolf, but it's not an unreasonable choice.

Pretty good overall. We can see how important it is to draft difference making Cs and RDs.

Askarov or Kemell should be NSH's #1. Wood would be ahead of Evangelista too. Evangelista would be in the next tier below that (the do we still count them as prospects tier?) with Tomasino and Pärssinen.

I agree Wallstedt is the #1. I have Rossi somewhere between 5th and 10th in the prospect pool, due to thinking his floor is AHL/KHL lifer.

I also have no clue what to make of Yurov or Kumpulainen as prospects, they are just a complete mystery box to me.

Yeah, I wouldn't quite call it rewriting the record books, but he had a very good season. No one else on the list really had an NHL career of note, so it's definitely not an indicator of future success. He is remarkably young for the KHL to get the kind of icetime you'd need to put up numbers like that, though.

Highest scoring season by a Russian D man, ever. Only like two guys have put up more points in a KHL season as defensemen, and he's a defensive menace, and he's incredibly physical.

yeah, knowing more i wouldnt call that record breaking, because its just based on nationality which doesnt matter really much. But its pretty great he to have such a great season while being very young. its always hard to earn the ice time for the young guys in the khl.
