I wouldn't do that if I were Mtl. But why is Abruzesse in this deal? Where's the value? Mtl has too many prospects, Toronto not enough ..it's bad for all 3parties to have him in this deal

That's an outrageous overpay for Pesce.

No on multiple levels from the habs.

1. They arent giving that kind of money to another winger. They already have caufield making almost 8 so giving 10 to nylander is terrible cap management.

2. If the habs are giving out that kind of assets its for a 1C not a winger.

3. Nylander wants way more than hes worth. The habs arent going to be the ones to give it to him.

You think Josh Anderson, a future maybe mid round first pick, a late 2nd and a 2nd 3 drafts from now is going to get you a 1C?

FYI, Comtois Will probably never play in the nhl again. He is most likely involve in the wjc 2018 scandal and will get suspended soon. For the Willy trade, this is fair value, but the retention make it a no from Montreal. Retaining 1,1 on top of giving Nylander 10m would be like paying Nylander 11,1 for the 3 first years of his contract. That is horrible

Edited to correct: he doesn't suck. He's a good third liner. He's just overrated because he got 27 goals once. He's a third liner. A physical one with a decent goal scoring touch (but not total offense) for a third liner. I wouldn't want him at over 3.5 mil. I'd prefer him at 3 mil
