What would you pay

Description
Playing around with a mock rebuild. If you're a fan of any of these teams or are interested in any of these players or others what would you offer? Reason I didn't include a Pettersson trade was I already have an idea for one
Transactions
1.
VAN
What would you pay for Kuzmenko? Ideally focused on picks and prospects. Canucks can retain if needed
    CAR
    1. Kuzmenko, Andrei
    Détails additionnels:
2022-2023 stats: 39G, 35A, 74P. Pros: Incredible around the net and highly productive, great at getting lost and open in the front of the net and deflecting pucks which could work great with Carolina. Cons: Unsustainably high shooting % (27.3%) though lots of that is due to tip in and tap ins which mean he can likely keep a well above average percentage
    2.
    VAN
What would Detroit pay for Hughes? Ideal package built around picks and prospects (Edvinsson or Kasper ideal prospects)
      DET
      1. Hughes, Quinn
      Détails additionnels:
2022-2023 stats: 78GP, 7G, 69A, 76P. Pros: Elite offensive player, giving Detroit a dynamic play driver on the back end. Incredible skating could pair well with Larkin and great playmaking can pair with Debrincat. In terms of D partners, Hughes has proven he can drag essentially any Dman into being a high end top pair and can give Detroit one of the best PP QBs in hockey. Cons: Not the biggest player, so may not mesh well with an Yzerman team. Doesn't get pushed around but also doesn't hit
      3.
      VAN
What could Toronto offer? Canucks can retain 2-3 million. Ideal package around picks and prospects (or young players) assume Leafs move Nylander
        TOR
        1. Miller, J.T.
        Détails additionnels:
2022-2023 stats: 81Gp, 32G, 50A, 82P. Pros: Strong playmaking and finishing, can pair well with one of Tavares or Matthews. Can easily be added to a TOR powerplay as well. Cons: Not good defensively and can get overly emotional on the ice, likely will be lowered a bit by playing on a better team
        4.
        VAN
What could NJ offer for Demko? Ideal package built around picks and prospects (I'd love Nemec but I'd doubt NJ would offer him) Canucks can retain if needed.
          NJD
          1. Demko, Thatcher
          Détails additionnels:
2022-2023 stats: 32GP, .901SV%, 3.16 GAA. Pros: Demko can be an elite goalie and has shown the ability to completely take over games, including singlehandedly winning the Canucks games. At his best he's been capable of a .915 on the Canucks and constantly make game changing saves. Cons: Had a very rough last year mostly due to injury. However if you look at his post injury stats his SV% goes up to .918
          5.
          VAN
Adding Colorado just for Fans to see this. If Canucks were willing to retain 2-3 million on Miller, what would you pay for him?

Whatever the Devils offer is based off Demko's down season. You shouldn't expect any kind of premium when the Devils take on the risk he bounces back.

This. Demko is too much of a risk until he shows that he is 100% healthy.

Leafs or virtually any contending as room for Miller's contract even at 5m...and to take that contract for 8 more years is iffy for every team, even the Canucks.

Toronto probably doesn’t have any interest in Miller, there’s no where to put him in the lineup. His spore in the top 6 are taken by guys they aren’t being moved, and he’d be an overpaid 3rd liner which isn’t where he should be used. Just doesn’t make sense to give up any assets for that

Kuzmenko might be of interest... we need somebody to score greasy goals in the playoffs and it seems like he specializes in that and the talent around wouldn't be that much of a downgrade. The return might be something in the realm of a decent prospect and a second or third

Jt Miller to the avs at 5mill for 7 years? Probably alot of picks, johansen would need to be included, your choice of Girard, or Manson... obviously not mack, rantanen, makar, Byram

            Maybe:
            Johansen
            1st 24
            2nd 25

It depends on whether or not Vancouver is eating some of his deal or not. If they are eating about half of Kuzmenko’s deal, I might offer a 1st, 2nd, Drury, and maybe Honka as well. Probably make the 2nd conditional based on offense so that it slips to a 3rd or 4th rounder if he doesn’t reach that requisite offense.

I think a first, a conditional second and Drury would be a fair offer.

Another person panic trading a goalie to the devils. Also why are you and everyone else so scare to make trades for a goalie to LA, like come on you sheeple, its always the devils "need a goalie" like No they dont. But lets all ignore LA and their goalie Talbot. Like why are you guys so scared to make goalie trade to LA you really think Talbot is fine but oh no Vitek isnt fine for the devils so lets panic trade 10+ goalies mock trade to NJ... SO pathetic.

The Devils do need a goalie... neither one of those two is going to take you where you want and you don't have a defensive corps or a system to make up for not having top-tier goaltending

Because LA is a division rival. I promise it's not that deep.

For Demko, I’d think NJD would offer a lot…but I also think a major goalie acquisition is not one we need to make. It’s a want and not a need.

One of - Daws, Brennan, Malek, Brady
One of - (any prospect not named Nemec, Gritsyuk)
            One of - 2024 1st or 2025 1st

Another person panic trading a goalie to the devils. Also why are you and everyone else so scare to make trades for a goalie to LA, like come on you sheeple, its always the devils "need a goalie" like No they dont. But lets all ignore LA and their goalie Talbot. Like why are you guys so scared to make goalie trade to LA you really think Talbot is fine but oh no Vitek isnt fine for the devils so lets panic trade 10+ goalies mock trade to NJ... SO pathetic.

When a fan of another team wants to see their team trade with ours…take it as a compliment. We have some good pieces. It’s no secret that Fitzy kicked the tires on a bunch of goalies this season. It’s his job, after all. No one is panicking. This is all normal.

The Devils do need a goalie... neither one of those two is going to take you where you want and you don't have a defensive corps or a system to make up for not having top-tier goaltending

We just had the youngest team in almost a decade to reach second round, went from 29th in goals against to 8th in goals against (5th in goals for, 3rd in goal differential). We are returning a top-15 goalie, a top-10 goalie prospect. We have two dmen among the top-10 overall prospects in league. We have three other top-4 dmen locked up for 4+ years below $17 million, including a top-6 finisher for Norris last year and two of the best defensive dmen in league.

I am not sure I would trade our situation for anyone else’s at this point.

I admit that both of them are very good regular-season goalies but Vitek has not been a good enough playoff goalie in his sample and Schmid hasn't had a big enough sample for me to say either way. You guys are set up for success in the long term but that goaltending position is going to be a problem in the playoffs unless Vitek improves in the playoffs and/or Schmid continues how good he was in his limited sample size

Umm i could say that the Hurricanes have some of the best defensive d-men in the league in Pesce and Slavin

I think Carolina probably had the best top-4 in the league last year. Marino and Siegenthaler are a few years younger than Slavin and Pesce…and they could certainly earn similar reputations by 2026.

            Siegenthaler - Hamilton
            Hughes - Marino
            Bahl - Nemec (Miller)

            Vanecek
            Schmid
            Daws

That is likely our defensive group over next 4-6 seasons. Not sure where (or how) we could improve its promise.
