This is silly. Habs obviously accept and AVS obviously decline.

That would have worked a year ago ( When Avs fans called me crazy for a Dvorak1 Girard swap) but MTL now has ZERO need for a LHD.

Only a Leafs fan could mess it up so badly when doing an Avs roster that even a MTL fan says the trade is declined by Colorado.

A good sign that this dude has never watched the Avs play is super-successful NHL defenseman Keaton Middleton lacing em' up over both JJ and Dermy.

It was crazy then and it's crazy now. There is (and was) zero reason for Colorado to move Girard to get Dvorak.

Because Dvorak was NEVER netting Girard. Girard returns more than Newhook. MTL bet on Dvorak being a cheap 2C and they got an expensive 3C

Just an awful trade for COL they move Girard and take on MORE cap space for positions they have covered then because they traded Girard AND lost cap space they can’t re-sign Toews. Awful.

I want to be clear that I'm a big fan of Dvorak & Evans, but they are role players. In this deal the Habs get younger & more skilled with a lower cap hit and 1 additional roster spot which we need.

It's a no brainer.

For who MTL? COL loses cap space loses a top 4 dman loses flexibility adding 2 longer term deals. I like Evans as a player especially as a 4C but cap is king in COL and it’s a trade that doesn’t help them be anything more than having a more expensive bottom 6 and no flexibility to re-sign Toews.

Yes, he meant it's a no brainer that the deal is WAY in favor of the Habs.

Stick to trying to fix your Leafs bottom 6 please, the Avs bottom 6 is fine, maybe a cheap 3RW, but that wont cost Girard.

As was mentioned - this deal benefits the Habs and hurts the AVS.
