As expected but people seem to think they can get Hart for a pile of meh. Not happening!

Sabres fans were not the one proposing this. The issue with the proposal is that the Sabres would look to add Heart as a bridge to Levi so they wouldn't include him on the trade.

There would be no Hart without Levi coming back, just wouldn't happen.

That's fine, but a Sabres fan was not proposing this, most Sabres fans are looking at Helly not Heart.

Habs have a bigger need at RD than at G.

Monty is looking good and habs are not in their compete window - I don't think they would be willing to spend as much asset for Hart.

Perfect, because the Flyers aren't shopping Hart and nobody is getting him for cheap.

It's basically the same package lol. OTT is a little farther ahead of MTL in the rebuild therefore your picks are likely to be much worse.

An interesting comparison for MTL fans:

        Hart 6'2" Age 24
        - Career 201 GP, -13.86 GSAx per evolving hockey.
        - Last season 55 GP, 12.93 GSAx.

        Montembault 6'3" Age 26
        - Career 103 GP, -10.54 GSAx per evolving hockey.
        - Last season 40 GP, 16.78 GSAx.

Monty is a late bloomer but it's probably worth seeing what he can do next year as a starter with Allen as the backup before pursuing a goaltender.

I still expect OTT to miss the playoffs next year so it would be likely a top 15 pick plus then make playoffs the next year but not do much so another top 20ish pick. It's a decent return

Let's step back and look at the two packages for a second.

        Lassi Thomson
Unconditional 2024 1st with no lottery protection
2025 2nd that becomes a 2025 1st if Ottawa makes the playoffs in either 2024 or 2025 (likely)

        vs

        Logan Mailloux
        Conditional 2024 1st with Top 5 protection
        Riley Kidney

        Ottawa's paying more.

We can top 5 protect that 1st. I wouldn't call OTT making the playoffs "likely". There are still a lot of teams in a much better spot than OTT in the East.

I hate the MTL trade. Flyers have had enough bad press the last few years. I don’t want Mailloux on my hockey team. Kid doesn’t deserve to be in the league. I would accept either Buffalo or OTT’s offer. Buffalo probably won’t offer it even tho I agree with you any Hart Buffalo trade has to include Levi. I think OTT is the best trade partner for Hart and I would probably do that trade in my future ACGM teams. Most of the local reporters have also been saying the same about OTT. Other trades you made for our other players are fine lol

I’m against trading him in an off-season. If we have to trade him at a deadline when a ransom could be offered then fine. I also don’t think he goes anywhere except OTT. I think they are the only team that makes sense

OTT does it without the condition. You think Ottawa misses the playoffs next year, so it's a Top 16 pick, a 2nd and a 22 year old NHL ready RHD prospect.

How about Brian Boucher's son instead of the conditional pick? Worth more than a late 2nd but not as much as a mid to late 1st at this point.
