Habs have no spots for Roslovic, but Boqvist could be interesting for Eddy

Boqvist can't stay healthy 70% of the time, Pass Zadina and the 43rd overall pick for an injury prone RHD isn't happening. I'd rather offer that for Neal Pionk than Adam Boqvist.

CBJ needs a veteran LHD to play with Jiricek, and he could be flipped at the 2024 TDL
Roslovic is an ok forward, nothing crazy going MTL way

I don't get why anyone on CBJ would want Joel Edmunson. There have to be plenty of better LD we can spend assets on.

We could move Boqvist but not for a winger of Zadina's caliber. Would just add another development "?" into a team full of them on the wings already.

Jackets have no need for Zadina. He doesn’t make their roster next year. Boqvist should get a late first or be packaged for a top 4 LHD for a player like hanifan

I don't think we would trade for Boqvist. If he actually had a full season under his belt it might be different. He had the potential but hasn't proved to stay healthy.

Zadina and the 43rd overall pick doesn’t get you Pionk. It would cost at least another good prospect or pick for that to happen.

Zadina and the 43rd is good value for both sides. You may argue that Boqvist can’t stay healthy, sure. But when he’s healthy he’s a 40 point pace defenceman at the age of 22 and he’s right handed. He’s a great skater and can quarterback a PP well. Zadina is borderline busy territory and is 1 bad season away from being labelled a bust. If Columbus was willing to take the chance on him for this price I’d be shocked. He’ll likely get dealt for a mid round pick or another player that needs a change of scenery.

An oft-injured defenceman for a borderline bust forward is decent roots for a trade, adding in the 43rd overall pick makes it pretty fair actually. Tbh I’d be shocked if Columbus wouldn’t get more because at least Boqvist has proven he can produce, Zadina can’t.

I would still do the trade if I'm MTL.
If both play their best, I think they bring similar return at TDL half-retained. But Edmunston's health is a risk right now, meaning he has probably less chance to have a great season.
