    1. Bailey, Josh

    Détails additionnels:
The Islanders need to shed this cap hit in order to make some meaningful moves

    1. Pageau, Jean-Gabriel
    Détails additionnels:
Using Seattle as a placeholder because their center depth isn't the strongest. I don't really want to trade Pageau, I think he is a useful player who can be relied on in any situation. But trading him makes sense under the right circumstance: to bring in a scoring winger (next trade)
    3.
    NYI
    1. Hall, Taylor
    Détails additionnels:
Isles get a scoring winger using the picks they acquired from the earlier Pageau deal. This also allows Barzal to shift back to his natural center position if needed

    1. Choix de 2e ronde en 2023 (TOR)
    2. Choix de 3e ronde en 2024 (SEA)
    Détails additionnels:
Boston needs to free up space. They have $4.5m in overages carrying over to next season. If they intend on keeping any of Bertuzzi/Orlov/Bergy/Krejci than trading guys like Hall, Reilly or Grzelcyk make some sense.
    4.

    1. Durzi, Sean
    Détails additionnels:
Isles find another "Romanov" type trade, except this time it's for an offensive defenseman to assist the PP and puck moving effort.

    1. Choix de 1e ronde en 2024 (NYI)
    Détails additionnels:
The Kings are flush with defenseman and trading one of Durzi/Roy/Walker can all be justified depending on return

See Bailey to the Hawks often. I think its a trade that makes a ton of sense for both teams. Bailey is still a talented player, just overpaid. Hawks could use some NHL talent, while also taking on salary to hit the floor and getting a draft pick. Islanders need to make moves and changes, this allows that. Plus, its a 2025 pick which lessens the blow for them in theory. Dont hate the other trades, all somewhat reasonable.

Hall is a bad fit for the isles since he doesn’t have great foot speed imo. I’d rather just keep Pageau.

Hall isn't a good fit and no way the isles separate Horvat and Brazal. They will play on the same line which creates a hold for the 3rd line center. Pageau has to stay.

    Thirded.

However to be fair to OP, I think the Kings need to send a 3rd or something back in that offer to make it truly similar to the Romanov trade. Plus I'm not sure Durzi has QUITE the same value that Romanov had.

Granted, the Islanders aren't picking at 13 in this draft, so there's some value lost in that 1st rounder. But I would love for LA to get back into this year's 1st round.

Hall is elite in transition and a very solid two way player. Isles need more puck carriers.

Horvat trade is proving to be a bad trade because Barzal is better suited for the center position. He needs the puck on his stick in the middle of the ice

Huh? Hall is one of the better skaters in the NHL. His speed is an asset that allows him to blow past defenders.

He’s still an elite skater. He was one of bostons best forwards in the Florida series

I’ve never thought of him that way since his injury, but IK he was the best third line left Wing in the league lol.

So then you didn't watch him play at all after his injury. He's not a 3rd liner. Calling him a third liner because they were he played on a deep Boston team is like calling Pastrnak a 2nd liner because that's where he played for Boston.

I was joking when I said he was the best third line wing in the league. He doesn’t really stand out to me for his skating in Boston tho tbh.
