Nylander also comes as a pending UFA whilst you are asking DeBrincat + return. Now no doubt Nylander is the better player, but that lack of team control is a major value hit.

So for a team not in a position to utilize him while he is under cobtract, why do we give all this up for a year of him only to turn have to compete for him again as a UFA?
