I'm saying I don't know what the big attraction is for PLD.....Forget about 23/24, why pay assets to acquire him? Habs are going to finish out of the playoffs spring of 2024 anyway. The bigger question is, are the Habs going to overpay for this 2nd liner as a UFA, or even as RFA if he resigns long term this summer.?

The Canes won’t be interest in taking on Armia, let alone for 2 measly mid round picks. There are much better and cheaper 4th liners available, no reason to waste valuable cap space on Armia.

hoffman will not be on the team as he needs a top 6 role to,produce points to be tradeable and that hurts developement.. either traded or bought out or sent to laval...but not on the team if any of the young players in camp outperform him which is very likely... same for armia although he is more likely to get sent to laval if the kids outplay him. But hoffman and Gurianov will not be on the team for sure unless gurianov takes a cheap contract but he will be UFA then and will probably go to a team that will play him in the top 6. not montreal
