I think Minnesota would pass - they still seem to like Rossi and I think he'll get a bigger role next year. Not bad value here at all, though.

Can't see Buffalo giving up a 1st for Boeser at that cap hit. They've got plenty of forwards who can score (Boeser's 18-37-55 would've put him 6th among Sabres forwards this year), so it's not like this is filling a lineup hole for them.

I think Chicago passes on this but it's a moot point because I don't think Seth Jones waives his NMC to go to Vancouver.

If you somehow got past both OEL and Jones having NMC and not seeing either being overly thrilled with the destinations to make this happen, the problem becomes that the Hawks would probably want something of value to do this and what is offered here are the 2 deepest organization positions in LHD and goaltending (in addition to the marquee part of the trade is a RHD adding another LHD). If you got past the obvious roadblock (NMC), I think the Hawks would be open to the concept of moving on from Jones (who the old GM overpaid to acquire in assets and contract). 4 more years of OEL verses 7 of Jones gets you to turning the page on Jones sooner and retaining on fewer years of OEL in a subsequent move could in theory have you wipe all of that out the door. Still think there would need to be different pieces and somewhat better at that if this ever became even possible.

I think there is a gigantic misunderstanding around the whole Jones situation. But, to put it simply, CHI absolutely declines and has ZERO intention of trading or dumping him.
