That doesn't look like selling to me lol you trade away guys to spend the assets to get guys similar back. Typically when you sell you don't take the assets and change to buying unless you're Vancouver.

With the exception of bringing in Demko and maybe Schmaltz. I'd say that is selling.

If you're going to sell actually sell. This is too realistic in terms of what the jets do and doesn't show a direction the team is going. We either gotta rebuild or retool which just changes what assets you sell. Here you sell a vezna goalie sure you get a return for him but then turn around and pay a similar price for demko. This just brings us to net 0 and doesn't effectively bring us in a firm direction. Not to mention the values are way off for some (Dubois, scheifele, wheeler)

MTL are not trading Dach for PLD, let alone other assets

Jets can’t afford to do it half way, the fanbase deserves a full reset rebuild, trade some valuable players along with the contracts running out. Full on blow it up for a bottom out next year, and hopefully secure extra firsts for this draft and next two and be a contender again in 3 years. Something along the ottawa rebuild. Hopefully learn from what they did well since they came from Atlanta and adjust to what they have done wrong since. See what ehlers/morrissey and Connor would bring, obviously don’t give anyone away but trust the scouts and hope for some luck to improve the picking spots over next three years.

This is all over the map, no point in buying and selling.

You’re not getting that for PLD. Chevy has no leverage except that he doesn’t have to trade him cause he’s RFA. But then you trade Laine away for someone that’s not playing and that’s not really an option either…

I would’ve maybe done that for 2-4 years ago Hellebuyck not now. Knies is the future and looks to be perfect for what the Leafs need right now. The 1st is whatever. I’d do 1st, Abruzze and Hollowell for him. Low risk high reward for 3 pieces. Plus we have 4 NHL calibre goalies next year. None that are his calibre obviously but they hold the fort. Murray is arguably our worst and he’s not hindering the team. Goals are going in but a lot of them aren’t on him. Like one went off a leg 15 feet over his head got lost and dropped in. That’s not on him.
