Description

Hayes sounds like he is most likely coming to Columbus in the off season.

Connor Murphy helps the blueline and lets Jiricek develop more in Cleveland then move to the main squad when the injury bug most likely comes again during the season.

Bedard can be seen as any of the top 3 C's (Bedard, Fantilli, Carlsson)

Graves is the Gavi replacement and helps solidify the left side until Mateychuk can join the squad in a few seasons.

LTIR players are players that can be traded... Foudy can probably be included in the Philly deal since Torts loves him. Bemstrom I could see us losing him to Waivers.

Scratches are players that will be playing at some point throughout the season. (Cole, Voronkov, and Jiricek start in Cleveland).

The issue is whether Haye's NTC would love that in DET.

I think between the dearth of true Cs in Cbus, the potential of playing with a Bedard/ Fantilli, the ability to be teammates with his buddy Johnny (and he is apparently close friends with former teammate Rick Nash as well), Hayes would be cool going to CBJ.

I think it's fair to make that 3rd a '24 2nd, and give them Foudy, or build something around Roslovic (who I increasingly feel like won't be here next year) going to PHI. We still need Bean, if only because we need bodies on our blue-line.

But yeah, safe to say the return for Hayes won't be big.

For sure agree. Pick in the 20's with no retention is done and done. The LA & Tampa 1st w/ 3-4 2nds gives the Hawks a lot of ammo to jump up if they see an oppurtunity for a guy they really like.

I feel there is going to be a big trade this offseason. The Jackets have too many bodies at the NHL level and with one of Bedard, Fantilli, or Carlsson likely to be here, I could see some of those forwards being moved. I think the Philly trade maybe more for a guy like Provorov than Hayes. The left side defense needs a true #2. We have entirely too many RHD and the league pays good prices for them. I expect Jarmo to be dealing this off-season. But let’s be clear about this, I don’t think he will deal for futures. The investment into Gaudreau means he is going to make moves that result in this team making the playoffs and be a contender.

I don't know if I agree. I feel like next season our right side will be Gudbranson, Boqvist, Peeke, with Blanks subbing in when one gets injured. I do not think we will push Jiricek into the main squad at the beginning of next season. I think he starts in Cleveland again IMO.

I think we are going to deal Peeke. With Cuelemans coming at some point I just think Jarmo is going to sell Peeke in an attempt to get the #2 LHD.
