You are 2M light on Terry and Orlov but probably 2M heavy on Drysdale. Also no team would consider Karlsson without at least 2M in retention and there is absolutely no chance the Ducks move their 2023 1st.

What did I expect in post by a leafs fan

1. You’re overpaying like crazy for Karlsson. San Jose would give him away for free if someone would take the full contract
2. 20 man rosters aren’t a thing, so you’re over the cap.
3. Way more for orlov.
4. This team still isn’t nearly a cup level team.

Rumor has it the reason Washington was so willing to trade Orlov is because he wanted too much money and term, and his value has only gone up since joining Boston. I imagine 4.5 x 5 doesn't get it done. I'm thinking the Letang deal (6.1 x 6) is a good starting point. Other comparables are the Vlasic deal (7x8) and McDonough (6.75x7). I'm thinking Orlov gets a 6x6 at minimum, unless he stays with Boston and takes a discount

Detroit already offered that to Bertuzzi, He said no. he wants closer to 6-7 years @ $6,500,000 per if not slightly higher.

If Orlov was willing to sign that cheap, he'd still be with Washington. Probably looking at $6,000,000 per+ to sign him.

Troy Terry will come in similar to Trevor Zegras around 8 x $7,500,000 to 8 x $8,000,000 per.

Hughes is the top of the comparable market at 8x8, and he went 1OA. Dylan Cozens, taking 2 spots before Zegras, signed a 7.1x7. We figure he comes in at ~7 to 7.5 mil by 8 years. He has had some behavioral issues this season with a ton of bad penalties.
