Suzuki is not worth nearly that much, and Montreal won’t trade him anyways

I think that they really want to keep Boldy as he is a forward, yes wallsted is also in a premium position but it is easier to find a new goalie than it is to find a young goalscoring winger locked up for term on a team friendly deal

I think the Wild would have to add Kaprizov to make it a fair trade for the Habsrolling eyes

the difference between boldy and suzuki (if there really is any) is not a top goalie prospect and 2 firsts

Take out Boldy AND Wallstedt and then there could potentially be something to work around value wise. Cap wise, ehhh...

Omg this was funny. Honesty it really was. I needed that laugh. Maybe boldy straight up for Suzuki, but the wall and 2 extra 1sts lol omg that’s funny. That’s a McDavid type return.

Then I would think that you're a fool in that instance. Boldy is 2 years younger and still a similar level, if not better player, extended at a cheaper rate

Minnesota's window doesn't truly open until 2025, and by then they'll have more than enough cap space and assets to acquire basically anyone who would be made available. Rushing to get a low end 1C at best doesn't make things any better.

We know JEE is a stud, see what you have in Rossi and Khusnutdinov and go from there

No slight meant against him, but if the Wild are offering up Boldy/Wallstedt and a pair of 1sts I think they could definitely go a tier or two above Suzuki in terms of the guys that package gets back.

i disagree, i would rather have suzuki for team needs. center are more valuable. we dont need an elite center, i bet he would look elite palying with zucc and kap for sure. a late first and a swtich of young player is a small price to pay. i'd rather pay asset for that kind of players and a sure thing than trading potential first for fleury.

That is the opposite of a small price to pay. And if you'd prefer Suzuki over Boldy, I can understand that. But there is still no reason to push the issue at center right now. Especially when the team really doesn't get any better from a talent perspective. Adding on a 1st would be complete overkill.

The Wild are already going to be extremely tight for fitting the team under the salary cap next season. That 875k matters. And again, we don't need to rush to find a 1C. As far as we know, Rossi could step right in to that slot next season and play great. Trust the process, don't rush things. Guerin seems to know what he's doing

its ok if we disagree. i would still do the trade. wingers are not that hard to find. rossi could be the guy or not, we dont know, but you never have too many quality center. i agree the dead cap makes things hard for us, but guerin is clearly tryng to put a competitive roster. i would not give the moon for suzuki, but boldy and first i could fathom easily.

It's funny cuz you say Wingers aren't hard to find and the Wild are literally looking for anyone to play with Boldy at a level close to him. Currently at Marcus Foligno with 4 goals in 46 games lol.

sure, i understand that. the problem is that the wild thought they did not need to fill those hole, since foligno came out of a solid season last year. a decend middle 6 winger can be found jn the offseason or as a rental too without giving upctoo much. the problem is not that wingers are hard to find, is thst they did not really try to find one in case theirs wasnt working.
