After everything we’ve learned in the previous few days, I have an EXTREMELY hard time believing Kent would go ahead and give dubois of all people more money than suzuki…

If I’ve heard this once, I’ve heard it a thousand times. You must also be apart of the “chiarot is a trash defender all he is is a pilon in front of the net. He’ll never get anything more than a 3rd round pick” club 🤡

Montreal next season
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Billy739</b></div><div>I'd rather trade RHP at a Profit the endure the Backlash thats coming for that Anderson return you suggested.
Anderson >RHP because as good as RHP is he's a Poor Mans or a Mini version of Joel Teasdale who currently has Ylonen and RHP in his way.
Teasdale won the MVP and Memorial Cup head to head against Suzuki outscoring him not because he was a more skilled player.
He won because like Marchand he shoots within 5 feet of the net often Greasy Goals and like Gally he battles hard in the Crease after his shot is let go.
He's an ideal Pest and he doesnt let anyone push him around with the size to ensure no one runs rough shot on him like RHP
RHP is a top 6 guy in a system with too much skill to let a 25 year old Sophmore set up shop there.
Teasdale was built for the Bottom 6 but really like Paul Byron has the skills to play every role on every line.
Id rather invest in him at their age then RHP
At his current contracts term we could do well moving him especially at a TDL.
Anderson any deal we make will require a Cal Peterson type cap dump at bare minimum</div></div>
This 👏 so much this 👌

Without retention, this is a no. With 50% for the next 4yrs, it’s a hell no.

How could Montreal use their cap space to get picks
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>RipNasty</b></div><div>Was he dealt? To my eyes he's still a Hab and one fans want gone because he isn't good.</div></div>
Well then you have no feel for why the fans want him gone. He’s a LD taking up a spot that could be used for development of one of our youngsters. It has nothing to do with his play, which has been more than fine for what he’s being paid, and for where he’s slotted into the lineup.

If all you value is points, go select every player in the top-20 of the QMJHL and fill out your teams roster that way. There’s more to hockey than that, but I guess youre just a casual 🤷🏻♂️

I guess I’ll need to explain it to you… the difference, and quite a large one at that, is Calgary was cash strapped and actually trying to make a run at the playoffs/cup. As evidenced by treliving making the moves that he did. Montreal literally has ZERO incentive to move a cup winning, albeit aging and oft injured dman, if it needs to be accompanied with any type of futures.

<a href="/users/KentMcNally" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@KentMcNally</a> I’d like to think PIT would take some older prospects that just need a change of scenery… my guess is Mysak & Norlinder.
For the Vancouver one I don’t even know where to begin
