Description

Growing up watching Jenner, I never thought he would be more than a top 9 guy. Yet over the past couple of years, he's shown he can score, hit and stand up for a team. It is highly unlikely the Jackets would move him because of his cheap cap hit as well as being their captain however, I think he would be a key aspect in a deep playoff run for the Leafs if acquired.

Other players with this type of skill set that the Leafs would / should look for?

I think during this past offseason, I would see Leafs fans post a Nylander for Wilson trade at least 3 times a day.

As stated above it would take a crazy overpay for Boone, I'd think it would be even more than the Hagel trade to tampa at the last deadline and that was 2 1st and 2 prospects (both former 2nd round picks). So start with something similar to that

I don't see a double-retained Tavares in the return, so we're already off to a bad start.

What? That seems excessive for the Leafs? Good; that's the point. There is no such thing as a reasonable Jenner trade that is in the Jackets' best interests, so all that's left is the unreasonable options.
