Bobcat’s Post Game Notes, Game 35
Jackets win, 4-1 over the Chicago Blackhawks.
-Happy new year’s eve, fellas! Let’s hope we can end 2022 on a high note.
-Patrik caught the ‘Rona yesterday, so we move Kirill Marchenko up to to the first line alongside Johnny and Kent. Go and show out, big man.
-…didn’t exactly start the game on the best of feet: We give up a goal to Andreas Athnasiou (who I completely forgot left Detroit). Ouch.
-Former Blue Jacket Seth Jones gets sent off for slashing Carson Meyer. Fortunately for the Blackhawks, our power play is actual literal *ss, so they have nothing to fear.
-Cole Sillinger (welcome back, btw) slashes Jake McCabe, but we pull off a solid killing job. Good stuff.
-Seth Jones holds Rosie, and that leads to Emil Bemstrom having his "Monthly Make Yourself Visible To The Public Moment" With a PPG. This game is tied.
-First period was fine. No comments so far.
-Tim Berni doesn't start the second period on the right foot, with a hooking call 55 seconds in. Luckily, that gets killed off.
-ALL ABOARD THE GUS BUS! A rush shorthanded for Gus and Rosie leads to a beautiful pass, and a good goal for Gus. That's our first lead tonight.
-Other than those plays, the second period was a total snoozefest. Just glad we have the lead...
-As the clock winds down, Kenny, Kirill and Johnny (one of these things is not like the others) get a good chance, and Kirll buries it for his third goal in four games. Man is on fire as of late!
-The third period... Even at the time, i couldn't really say anything good one way or the other. A couple of penalties and an empty net goal ends the game.
-I'm SO glad we won for the first time in 7 games, but even then, we didn't really steal the show. Alex Stalock made some immaculate saves this game. The old man still has some juice left...
