You may right about Sutter. He looks old and frustrated when things don't go his way. Maybe he just doesn't have the ability, knowledge, or the want to change things up effectively. John Torterella is the same IMO. Appears at least publicly at times he has given up on his job and his players.

Goalies are incredibly mercurial. He might just need a new team or maybe he is just going to suck for a couple years. Top ten goalies don't post sub .900 save% behind strong defenses sorry to say.

Alex Formenton is one of the fastest players in the NHL, lead the league in shorthanded goals last season, and in his first 100 games had more points at 5-on-5 than Drake Batherson. OTT is not giving him away and retain his rights. So if he's cleared... he's either suiting up for us, or we're getting something significant in return.

What's more likely, is that the NHL manages to keep the names from ever coming out. Because sadly, even changing all the brass at Hockey Canada will not change hockey culture.

I think most rapists have said "hey I'm not guilty" and that doesn't make them any better than the ones who decided to say nothing - especially before being accused.
But yes, Formenton not being signed makes it seem far more likely that Dorion knows something we don't. But maybe what he knows isn't the actual / full story.
Maybe there's a reason names haven't come out yet, OTHER than HC / NHL trying to bury it. We just don't know... and we might never know.

What does shock me right now is that Formenton hasn't signed with a KHL team. He surely knew before the Dec 1 deadline that he wasn't getting a deal. You'd think he'd have announced his KHL deal on Dec 2nd. Sitting out a full season won't benefit him in any way.
