At this juncture, there is a very low possibility of Zetterlund going on waivers - he'd have to have an absolutely terrible camp to be sent down to Utica.

The most likely Devil to be placed on waivers in my opinion is Andreas Johnsson - but I even think that is very unlikely.

New Jersey will likely roll with a 21 or 22 man roster if they don't want to place Bernier on LTIR.

Intentionally left them out...WPG doesn't need any more defenceman and the only other one I could think of was Malgin? I'm assuming Anderson & Gaudette make the team. Every other forward is waiver exempt.

Foudy's another one of those 2017-18-19 draftees whose development was just destroyed by Covid shutdowns. With a ton of injuries, he's never really gotten a chance except for the Bubble playoffs, where he looked great. And now he's been passed on the depth chart by younger guys. He's probably a very likely waiver candidate because I just don't see a spot for him in Columbus. Very little hockey sense but his skating is impeccable. At least Bemstrom has a shot and a solid hockey IQ, not to mention a top SHL pedigree.

I was mostly kidding due to the whole fact of every player the leafs place on waivers someone claims, and the jets are one of the top teams who like to do it (Brooks, Shore).

Dzingel is not on the NHL roster. He signed a two-way deal and currently sits on the Wolves roster.

His contract was signed with Carolina, not the Wolves. He'll need to clear waivers if sent down at the start of the season.

I would like both those guys, Archibald hits a lot for a smaller guy, Caggiula puts up decent 4th line numbers and plays with some bite, could use a 4th line like that.

There are 3 options to what’s happening:

a) the leafs are a ridiculously deep team

b) Dubas is a terrible GM at managing his waiver players

c) teams like to claim them because they hate the leafs

Heponiemi could be a sneaky good option but a guy that looks like too good for the AHL and is making the league minimum is 1000% not a guy Florida should be waiving. I don't follow them super close, but they're going to have to move $3.3M to get under the cap which means they're going to need to fill -at least- two spots on the roster (assuming they find a new home for Patric Hornqvist), and cheap young forwards are gold in that situation.

Except for those who signed an "AHL" contract, everyone on the Wolves roster 'signed with Carolina'. They all have two-way deals. So does Dzingel. He currently sits on the Non-NHL roster. You can't be sent down if you are already down.

Dude, that is not how it works. He is under contract with Carolina, he is not signed to an AHL contract, he's signed to an NHL contract. Dzingel is not waiver exempt so in order to be sent down he has to clear first. Correct, the majority of the Wolves roster is signed by Carolina but unless they're on a rookie deal and are waiver exempt, they have to clear first.

Also, a two-way deal only means that you make less money playing in the AHL vs. NHL. It has nothing to do with waivers.
