Tkcachuk is 4 years younger. JG's 11+ million dollar deal would be below market value quickly. Tkachuk has a chance, atleast, of maintaining value throughout. JG has 0 chance of that. After 4 years it will be bad even with the cap going up to 90 million.

Next year's first being top 3 protected and JBD can be fair, but you're going to have to look at someone like Connor Brown, Alex Formenton or Mathieu Joseph if you want a roster player that Ottawa would be willing to part with. Otherwise you're looking at some of Ottawa's prospects.

Massive overpay for the Sens, this would just turn them into the absolute definiiton of a one-line team, their next best forward after the Tkachuks and Timmy would be like, Formenton or Pinto who has only played 17 games. If the Sens won the lottery, you maybe coulda pryed Norris away, since they'd have Timmy at 1C and Wright at 2C, but still not both Norris and Batherson, and certainly not now.
