I don’t like the fact that the Stars have lost 3 straight (assuming they lose tonight, can’t see them winning) while only being 1 win above Vegas for the last wildcard spot with the same number of games played.

Gives me PTSD from 2018 where they lost 12 of their 16 last games and went from 3rd to 6th in the central and missed the playoffs.

If Dallas loses to one of Seattle, Arizona, or Anaheim I’m going to lose it. If Vegas wins vs us and we win all of those games, our only real hope is the Blues (because I don’t trust the Sharks or Hawks to win).

We will definitely choke once against SEA or HCD. That's just a Bowness thing to do.

That leaves the VGK match. I don't think they'll win all the games they have left.

I’m assuming Stars wins vs the Ducks which gives them 79GP with 93 points.

I’m assuming Vegas wins vs the Sharks and Hawks which gives them 80GP with 93 points.

Now if Dallas wins vs Vegas it bumps them up to 95 with them only needing to win 1 (or at least get a point) vs either Seattle and the Yotes to make the playoffs. But if Vegas wins, they get bumped up to 95 and the Stars have to win both games to make it (or get 3 points).

Yes if LA chokes. But they need to lose basically all games they have left. Which are against ANA, SJ and SEA.

These are decent comps for Sanderson. Not Samuelsson. Chill out guys lol. Like, he’s good but he’s probably not gonna be that elite. A 2nd pair shutdown type would be a win, throwing around guys that have been top 5 shutdown guys in the league for most of the last decade is crazy lol. There’s only so much ice time to go around and he’s never gonna be more than the 3rd best LD on Buffalo. Like if he turned out like McNabb or Manson or something that should be considered a good outcome. Anything else is probably just setting you up for disappointment.

Brodin is the absolute top I believe he can reach but that requires also finding a suitable pairing.
