The islanders deserved to have the maple leafs mathematically eliminate them from the playoffs.

At this point I’m convinced Lamoriello and Trotz are stuck in their ways and they won’t change their philosophy. They believe in playing the guys they respect the most, not the players who give the team the best chance to win. In order for things to change, the islanders need to have another embarassing season so the owners make changes. I have no interest in seeing Sorokin carry a team of washed up vets to a 1st rd exit. The best thing for the organization is to fail miserably and miss the playoffs next season.

Quietly been one of the best this season, and gets no attention whatsoever (2.29 GAA, and a .928 SV%-only trailing some guy named Shesterkin)

I'd say he's on the outside looking in for Vezina finalists (would go Shesterkin, Markstrom, Andersen-in that order), but he's ridiculously underappreciated

Arizona going FULL tank mode…again

I’m surprised he doesn’t get more attention considering he’s arguably the most athletic goaltender in the game. Some of the saves he makes are just ridiculous , Shesterkin is the better G right now because he’s more positionally sound, but Sorokin is just a lot of fun to watch.
