I think we can get a 2nd for Stanley. The Copp trade seems fair. The Stastny and Ves trade is ok, I think we could get a bit more but I don't know the value in terms of picks for Kravtsov. I believe that the ask for Kravtsov is a 3rd... So it is basically a 2nd, 3rd, and 7th for Stas and Ves, which is a ok trade. I like the comparable of Beualieu to last years Jordie Benn/Ben Hutton. If you can find a team that wants a 7th/8th d man that will give up a 5th/6th/7th I am doing it instantly. And the Dillion trade, I like getting the first but I don't want Holl. If the leafs trade Holl to a different team and then give a 1st and another piece for Dillion I would be fine with that.

Values are not bad, fans from the teams the jets are trading with may over-value their players and disagree. Might be under-selling stanley too but the habs would accept that 100%.

He is definitely worth a first. Especially closer to the deadline when most of the centres are off the board.

I totally agree with the Stanley take. I believe that a team will give up a 2nd.

I'm honestly happy with just a 1st for 50% retained Copp so the 4th would just be gravy and not needed for me.

Really the only trade I would be unhappy with as a Jets fan is trading Logan Stanley for a 3rd round pick. At that price point I would rather just keep him and see what we could get for Samberg or Heinola instead. We invested a 1st round pick in him and have been patient with his development where now he is a 6"7 NHL caliber Dman. He still has top 4 upside and massive Dmen like him generally don't hit their stride in the NHL until a bit later. Chara is the obvious example but Jamie Oleksiak only really became an impact player IMO when he was over 25 years old. Victor Hedman only really started putting up points like he does in his 24 year old season. Zadorov I think has only really found his game as a 26 year old this year. I just would either want to get full value for Stanley or we should hold him for another few years to see what he really becomes. He puts in the work so I have confidence that every aspect of his game will improve further.

Definitely don't need, but I'm on the fence if the price is only a 3rd. That kind of size and reach is tempting. If we can get Weber to work with him and give him a couple years to develop, who knows?

The Boston trade looks fair while the Ranger and Montreal trades are low returns for the Jets. The Jets also should not trade Dillon or have any interest in adding Holl.

dont see it. teams are historically stingy with firsts unless it comes with term. copp has played well but he hasnt played 1st+ well. not to mention last year was the best year of his career and hes already on a somewhat downward trend from that while also playing with connor, pld, wheeler, and scheif. dont see the jets getting a first back for copp. a 2nd and a prospect sure, but highly highly doubt a 1st.

Last year there were 3 first round picks traded at the deadline: david savard to tampa (won the cup and they have gone "all in for 3 years now"), nick foligno to toronto we all knew that wasnt worth it, but it filled a glaring hole he just got hurt and never played for them, and a 1st and a 4th for palmieri and zajac.
2019-2020 there were 5 brady skjei, barclay goodrow/blake coleman (again tampa didnt care about late round 1sts...), and pageau who was in the midst of a 20 goal season and had 40 in 60 as one of the better defensive centers in hockey on a terrible senators team, and zucker.
2018-2019 there were 4 again duchene, hayes, montour, muzzin

i just dont see many teams lining up to send off a 1st for copp. a 2nd and a 3rd? a 2nd and prospect? a 2nd a 4th and a prospect? all very much more likely than simply a 1st.

Bruins - Seems fair, Copp may even get more.
Rangers - Depends on if the Rangers think Vesalainen has value, but I think that they'd prefer a quality NHLer with control that better fits their needs.
Leafs - I like it, but I hate the Leafs. Toronto absolutely cannot take on Dillons' term given their cap situation.
Flames - Its fine, but I'm not sure how interested the Flames would be in Beaulieu. They also can't really take on his contract.
Canadiens - Very little chance Montreal would have any interest in giving up futures for Stanley. I have a hard time imagining they'd want Stanley period.

Honestly, they all seem pretty unlikely/pro Jets apart from the 1st one (and I guess the 4th one).

We aren't talking about a top pairing D. He could be a solid 3rd pairing guy with a unique skill set among our D corps. A 3rd in the draft doesn't offer much better prospects of an NHL caliber player, so it's not a huge risk and we can spare the pick.

Copp will be this years Blake Coleman with only one year left on his contract. Copp is better than Coleman so I don't see why he wouldn't fetch a 1st.

coleman was a back to back 20 goal scorer playing with a real real bad njd team. copp hasnt scored more than 15 in his career and isnt nearly as good defensively as coleman is. coleman was in his 4th nhl year and had a year left on his contract. copp is in his 7th nhl year and is a ufa.

thats why i dont see him commanding the same value. thats why i dont see him getting a first+ even a first straight up is doubtful in my eyes. i just dont see it.

Copp has never scored 20, Coleman had done it twice at the point he was traded. He was also making PENNIES for another year. If Copp was making $2mill for another year I'd be all over him, just don't think that's where you'd like your 1st to go towards with so many bigger names on the market.

That being said, I can see a team overpay and give up the 1st, just dont think it's a good idea.
