Description
Top 5 forward pick could be one of Wright,Cooley,Savoie etc.

With line 4 Kassian and Ylonen would switch out regularly

If savard, kassian, armia or byron play better and impress they could be flipped at the deadline I just don't see any team taking a chance on them right now especially with their cap hits

Bourgault /Guhle will play in the minors mainly but will fill roles in the middle 6/bottom 4 when injuries come up so if he impresses he could keep his role

Scratches are in order of how likely they are to play

I don't feel like explaining my thought process behind each trade so if u have an issue with one I will reply to ur comment with my reasoning

Also it's pretty obvious I am not a habs fan so if I get any of the prospect values wrong I apologize

Carey Price, who hasn't played a game yet this year, and who's career is likely in jeopardy and hanging in the balance, is not getting anything near that. Please be more logical

I love how i got lambasted for offering the habs top-4 pick this year for laffy. Meanwhile there are ppl on here like this OP who are attempting to send a cap dump to the rangers for him lol

Yzerman wont trade Zadina for picks a player for player of similar age and value, Hughes isn't retaining $3,000,000 on Carey Price for 4 years and $2,000,000 for 3 years on Jeff Petry he already said as such you take them as is. And there's noway Dallas taking Petry without retention. And Eric Engles said that both Detroit and Dallas have strong interest in Petry but for $5,000,000 only.

What gets me laf then

It's pretty obvious right now that the rangers see themselves to be in win now mode with how shesterkin is playing

A top 6 winger with retained salary who is literally the perfect player to have in the playoffs

A top 16 pick in a stacked draft and a third

Im not saying im right here but I would like to hear what package would be better

Its obvious that laf isn't gonna develop in New York and will be traded somewhere so I am curious on what you think that package should look like

I thought it was the 23’ pick. Regardless, I don’t see them making that move as it screws them for cap next season. Cap is the major issue for NYR which 98% on here don’t pay attention to

Why would they. Most on here can't see past their noses let alone cap implications of tmrw and beyond.

Gallagher is on the decline but his style of play would have fit. The retention isn’t a luxury, it’s a necessity to move that contract. If its 50% then I’m considering it for sure. But NYR are up against the cap and adding him isn’t going to help unless there’s a guarantee that Wright is that pick

If Edmonton is giving up a kings ransom for anything it better be a sure fire solution long term. Problem I see here is price has played even less games than smith which was the catalyst of the downfall in goal. On top of that even being optimistic thinking both smith and price will start next year healthy both being under contract requires skinner to be lost on waivers who is young and durable and easily debatable better based on this season. Let’s sit back and seriously think about how insane this is

Gallagher is a fricken cap dump with his contract (even with retention). We’ve got no interest in adding another crap contract. You want Laf pony up 1st overall or Suzuki, otherwise we’ve got no reason to even given it a second thought. Deal as is pathetically underwhelming.
