Crazy Idea
Kings offer is laughable.
Coyotes decline, I'd argue Cooley has more value than Marner at this point considering age, contract, position and players desire to play for the Coyotes

Ok well two things here,
1. When you look up Leonard's position it lists it as "Centre", can't really blame me for assuming he plays centre when that's what Google tells me
2. It would make sense for him to out-score Yegor in his highest scoring year and by far Yegor's worst, kind of cherry picking stats here
3. Cristall and Leonard are taking up middle 6 spots no matter where McMichael slots in
4. I don't have a analytics account but based on the Caps goal differential and his +/- I chose to make an assumption that he wasn't selke matierial

Nah I kinda gotta agree with this one, he failed to show up last year when it mattered and has already showed the same signs this year. He's not terrible but the dude just can't make a save when it matters, we can't win a cup with that

Yeah but if he was good enough to be NHL ready why wouldn't we just play him over Ceci, Kulak or Desharnais right now? Why is Broberg being called up instead of him? I think Oilers Nation is taking a pretty optimistic approach to how good he is, he's a fine bottom pairing guy but he's not top-4 material or he would be in the league already.

Would Utah be interested
Uhhh this is an odd one. I think Utah would be insane to trade Durzi firstly so I don't know the odds of us trading for him but if he is available for whatever reason I'd love for us to make an offer.
A couple things about this deal though
1. If we are moving Campbell there is zero reason to retain on him, either we buyout his deal of we preferably ship his entire deal to another team
2. This feels a little hefty for Durzi, I doubt Utah would have interest in Ceci so I would rather just move him in a separate deal, I feel like in any Durzi deal Broberg is most likely a must so I'd be willing to part with him for Durzi. 2 1sts is a bit pricey though, especially with him up for contract. I would offer Broberg + 24'1st + Savoie for him, feels fair for a d-man who is about to be paid long-term which isn't beneficial for Edmonton either

2025-26 Playoffs
Here's the state of Edmonton trading for d-man right now,
Just ask yourself this question "Is this d-man a clear upgrade over Cody Ceci.", if he is then we will gladly hear you out! If not then we have no interest.
Savard is not a clear upgrade, Habs fans can argue he's minimally better but especially with his injury concerns Edmonton has no interest

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TM11</b></div><div>Mcmichael legit has more value alone than Yegor.... how do the Flames get a 1st and a good D lol</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>LuckyMoneyPuck</b></div><div>so lets get this right. A guy scored 31 goals for CGY last year and you think they will give him to you for a late 1st, a 30 pt 3rd liner and TVR?</div></div>
Feels as if I've received some pretty opposite reactions to the Yegor trade.
I feel like both responses are a little overreactive, on the Flames end they're getting the 17th overall selection (more of a mid-first round pick where lots of talented forwards can be selected), a former 1st round centre prospect to play in their middle 6 where he has more offensive opportunities and a top-4 RD who can be flipped in the future at the TDL and play big minutes. This is a pretty good package for a 30 goal scorer they're gonna have to pay big money too if they want to flip him.
On the Capitals side, McMichael's future in Washington with Leonard and Cristall coming up looks scarce right now, he hasn't shown much of a offensive outburst and has seemed to struggle defensively. He also won't get the right opportunities with Lappiere, Strome and Leonard in his spots. TVR will most likely be moved for around a 2nd/3rd anyways, and the Flames could be a suitor for him since they moved all their veteran RD at the TDL. The 1st hurts to lose but the odds of them providing the same production as Sharangovich is fairly low imo, I would feel more comfortable with a 30 goal scorer than the 17th overall pick in a fairly weak draft (who can still be quite good but is no promise)

I think the Blues would be pretty happy with this package for Buch,
the Devils would need to work out a good extension with him though beforehand, they're not moving that for a rental

imagine what we couldve had
Eh looking back on things like this has never made sense to me.
Walman, Barbashev, Joshua and Dunn never become those players if they stayed in St.Louis, it just wasn't a fit for them and that's ok. You could do this for every single team in the league, no point in dreading over it

Going with retries
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>hockeynutter</b></div><div>Campbell buyout is about 6 years of minimum 1.5 million. And a capable backup is still them needed to sign.</div></div>
It's still cheaper for us, either we buy him out at 1.5-2 million on average for 6 years and just take the dead cap penalty with no risk or we retain 1.5 million on the guy for the next 3 years while getting back another potential cap causality that runs us 4 million for the next 4 years that could be another potential buy out. It's a lateral move for us over the next 3 years as we would be paying 5.5 million in total and if we buyout Korpisalo it would be 1.3 million over 6 years after that. I think we would rather just buy him out or dump his entire contract somewhere else without taking one back

Clearing bloat for 2026 playoff push
Edmonton passes, would much rather re-sign Henrique. We also already have the 3C spot filled with Mcleod so no reason for one. Kovacevic would be nice but he's not a need for us, we need a top-4 RD if we're shipping out Ceci and he isn't that. Bottom pairing sure but not top-4.

Oh man this might be the worst list ever.
If it was based on this season then why is Kucherov at least not 2?
If it's just in general than the fact that Mcdavid isn't #1 is comical.
Noah Hanafin being a top 30 player makes me giggle.

a offseason of goodness
Two things terribly wrong with this Edmonton deal
1. Tampa would have to re-sign Bouchard to a 8x8 deal the year after which is the absolute last thing they would want to do, giving up all those picks is also a terribly bad idea for them long-term
2. Much more importantly, there is absolutely 0 reality where Edmonton is moving Bouchard, like zero chance. You have have to offer us Vasy as an absolute overpay for us to say yes
