I disagree, you place too much value on your prospects and Kotkaniemi isn't worth his cap hit. A late 1st in next years draft and 2 prospects doesn't get you Miller.

when you only look at a cap hit I guess you come to this conclusion. Calling it a low ball offer is laughable. Canes arent trading Kotkaniemi anyways.

Then you should do some more research lol, this is essentially two 1sts, a 2nd, and a talented young NHL quality centre with team control for a vet with only 1 year left. If Miller gets dealt you'd be lucky to get half this package.
