One game won't define this season. This team is stilll really good, especially for the players that come out every night. Managing to do so well when half the time Laviolette only trusts two lines of offense is a good sign. The defense fell apart in the 3rd and Sammy was left to dry because of it, but this isn't cause for large concern at the moment. Cholo may have just proven he's not a full time option, which means those incessant "Kulak to Washington" trades may actually make some sense now.

I'd be interested in doing a deep dive into Holtby as a potential HOF'er. Off the top of my head, he's not there. But, he probably compares rather well to some of the Goalies that barely made the HOF.

on one hand, he's missing the net, but on the other, the goalpost is a very small thing, to hit it consistently is impressive.

Oilers are fine with Broberg, he has been great in first 4 NHL games and I would be A LOT more worried about the defense if the Oilers didn't have a blue chip D prospect on the way

yeah Bouchard has been great in his first full NHL season to, he is so poised and calm when ever he has the puck, wish they would give him more pp1 time as to utilize use his great shot more but all the pp1 time goes to Barrie, I guess when your pp is #1 in the league you really shouldn't mess with it
