Hertl moving happens if we suck again, which guys like Vlasic even acknowledged that things will blow up. It’d be 3 years of failure. Cant keep neglecting a reset. A real reset.

Moving Hertl if he won’t extend and wants a cup is necessary, similar to how Lowry should have been traded from the Raptors (it’s just a great example if you understand both teams, not the same situations but a good example I think).

Maybe he even decides to come back in UFA hahaha.

But really you move Hertl and maybe see who bites on Burns if he plays well again because I think someone would. Adding if Kane’s gone the Sharks can go after a big fish UFA.

Eklund (Elite/ top6 potential), Bordeleau (same as Eklund), Wiesblatt (top6/ middle 6 complementary player), Merkley (star/ elite potential) all project to make the SJS in 2022/23 with guys like Gushchin, Robins (two potentially high end players) being dark horses on the Sharks after 2021.

If Kane’s terminated/ resolved, Hertl is sold, and one other guys moves on which again is most likely Burns; the Sharks really could have a strong youth team by 2023/24.

This is all hypothetical and best case tho lmfao. But Eklund and Bordeleau & company (Wiesblatt, Merkley, Kniazev, Gushchin etc etc) have really changed the minds in SJ I think.
I think (hopefully) they realize that the pure youth talent SJS possesses and could possess from the 2022 Draft is gigantic.

I don't really think that it can be argued that Ferraro is better than either of Rielly and Brodie. In 3-5 years he probably will be but right now he's definitely a step behind.

But as I said I love Brodie, he’s very good and Rielly is good but needs to prove his worth this year (but he did have a good 2021) (and if he does go back to that 2018 form than I DONT know if he’s staying in Toronto, some lunatic may offer him 9.5😬😬).

San Jose will not make the playoffs this season and it’s the best thing for them. It doesn’t matter what the players think. Need to get high draft picks and let their bad contracts run out.

It only happens if Meier/Hertl/Labanc are all traded for futures in the next year, which I think should happen. Within 2-3 years they can be in the same position as the LAK with a top 3 prospect pool

I’m really debating on if we should get Hertl. It’ll be impossible to resign him, but if we get him we could be cup favourites. The cost would be high so we would really need to win the cup because we’d lose the equivalent of 2 firsts for a cup run, but Pavs and Hertl would be 🔥.

Are you referring to the habs? Because we’ve lost 4 players from our final lineup last year, and only 6 that played in round 2 and onwards, 7 if you include Tatar. Sure Weber and Danault are important players, but this is hardly half the team.

I mean between Game 5 against Tampa Bay and opening night this year, we’ll likely only have 5 different players:
Removed: Perry, Weber, Byron, Danault, Staal
Added: Drouin, Savard, Hoffman, Kotkaniemi, Poehling/Perreault/Paquette

Weber, Danault and Tatar were all huge pieces, so was Perry to a lesser extent. You can't really count Danault and Evans, Lehkonen or Kulak as equals. And if you include Poehling/Paquette as additions, Gustafsson and Merrill should count as substractions, along with possibly Kotkaniemi.
