When are Habs fans gonna get it through their heads that Price and Weber are untradable unless you're adding Caufield or Suzuki

No from Winnipeg. The Jets do not need bottom pairing defensemen, especially LD.

I think you and the rest of the sabres fans will be shocked when the eichel return is less than what you expect. He has a $10M contract plus an injury that has yet to be treated and still don’t know what will happen. Don’t think you will get nearly the return you are expecting

price will retire a hab, litterally no reason to want to move him (nor will anybody want to take on that contract) Weber has declined but again not going to pay someone to take him when he can stil lplay top 4 minutes. The eichel deal does not get it done i dont think MTL will want to pay the price for him. Also if they are looking to get younger why would they bring in Voracek?

First Eichel has gone through nearly 3 mos of PT....so don't think it hasn't been addressed just because surgery hasn't been done. He's not the first nor the last that has had a herniated disk in the sports world and not come back to play at normal capacity. Name a pro athlete that has retired due to a herniated disk. To much is made of this bc he wanted to do surgery and the Sabres said no. Wait a week or two when the 3mos are up and see what's going on. I had a herniated disk and with PT and rest it's never bothered me since, now granted I'm not a pro athlete but I golf 5 days a week and I'm not hampered one bit and I'm far far older than Eichel.
Does Eichel want out, without a doubt yes and that season ending presser was a way of him going about making sure he made it public as was Reinharts...best way to get the Pegulas to trade you is exactly what ROR did as well as Jack and Sam. It's funny how when Adams explained the teams rights according to the CBA that Eichel had no rebuttal, it's just posturing and getting his way...
Bottom line is he has 5 yrs of term left and if Adams price isn't met no matter what Jack says or does he doesn't have to be moved. I'm sure Adams learned from the haste of the Pegulas when Botterill was ordered to trade ROR and took scrapes instead of paying the 7.5mil bonus and waiting til there was a proper offer on the table.
The Sabres will get at least 4 good pieces. Look at what Colorado received for Duchene and who would you rather have? Regardless the Sabres will lose the trade because Eichels position as a 1C and his production will not be duplicated by whatever comes back in the trade.

Hard decline for Buffalo. If Montreal wants eichel. Straight up it would need to include either one of Caufield or Suzuki. And one of either Romanov and or kotkaniemi. And still 2 firsts plus. Altogether should have the value of 4 firsts coming back, and tbh. I don’t think that’s enough.

As bad as they need to move those contracts, they can't it's basically impossible considering their age, performance, cap hit, and term.

This is a lot but yes I get it about the injury. Cross that bridge when we get there and see how the healing is going and what not. I do think it could affect it but ya I guess we don’t have that update yet.

But in terms of trade value there are a lot of variables but like what is the best trade you have seen where you think the team giving up the best player wins? I’m think o’reilly for example that trade could not look worse now. I do think Buffalo will do ok with the return but I think sabres fans need to be a bit more realistic. I don’t think many teams would give up their top prospect in this deal unless if a big cap dump was coming back.

Personally, I think the sabres have potential to do better with a reinhart deal rather than an eichel deal just because of the contract and hype. There will be more bidders for reinhart because it’s in a realm of possibilities but eichel really only a few teams can get involved

And yes your last point is kind of how I feel about the whole situation. End of the day Buffalo will be giving up the best player

This is just my opinion but I don't think Eichels injury is as bad as it's made out to be...he has had enough of the losing and rightfully so....he just wants out but again just my opinion. I believe if the Sabres had made the playoffs he would have been in uniform. As for the return who knows...don't think it will be bad and teams like LA and NY like star power so I think you can squeeze a little more out of them. I've said before Vegas is the dark horse that you won't hear about till the end. I still think LA can give the most as their prospect pool is over flowing and it won't hurt their system to much and they can easily take on the cap. Maybe a third team gets involved like in the Duchene trade , so many possibilities as to what's going to happen.
I agree with you on Reinhart, he upped his value with the season he had and playing center once Granato took over. BTW, don't think it's a coincidence that both Jack and Sam had eye opening exit interviews...probably was planned that way on their parts.
The thing is if Adams wants to turn this team around he can't just take prospects and draft choices, he needs to get a top 6 forward in each deal. The production lost in Eichel and Reinhart is going to have to be replaced by committee. These two trades will define Adams and Karmonos as to how long they keep their jobs.

I would like to know when Habs fans are going to get it through their heads that the only reason we were not out in 4 straight is cause Price hassaved our bacon waaaaaayyyy too many times. Also other fan bases needs to realize that Price and Weber are not untradable. Difficult yes because it requires the right situation but not untradable. Like if the Oilers were looking to upgrade in goal I guarantee they would ask about Price if his name was out there as being available. Weber also has value as a solid #4-6 Dman for a contender or someone looking for a veteran leader capable of playing big minutes. So don't go spreading the BS that they are untradable cause it's simply not true. Hard to trade for sure but we are not talking about Karl Alzner or Ante Niemi on huge contracts, it's Carey freaking Price and Shae Weber!!!!

For the sake of the league and Buffalo fans I hope they trade them and turn this all around. It’s been long enough and no franchise deserves this. Honestly good luck and hopefully whatever the trades are things get going in buffalo
