No way will the Rangers move two of their top 5 guys, but if they get their franchise center in Eichel they will be unstoppable. I could see something like:

Pick one of: Kakko, Chytil, Kravtsov

Pick 3 of: Miller, Georgiev, Strome, Lundkvist, Schneider, Jones

Add a 1st, 2nd, and balance with picks

No one will beat that, and then the Rags are set up the middle, have a franchise top d-man, and their goalie of the future.

Except for the part where they’d want Miller, Nils and Schneider. Then we’re left with absolutely no d core and no prospects in the cupboard. Doesn’t matter if no one can beat the offer if it makes us worse long term considering the state of our defense. Eichel is great, but not for all of that. Making that trade would set us back and leave the cupboard completely barren.

Then with our luck we’d find a way to be mediocre and never win and end up in the same position that led to the current rebuild. At least you guys have 2 cups to show for it, all we got were some close but never close enough calls.
