Andrew Ladd is useless and is getting paid $5.5 mil a year to sit on his keyster and pick his nose while Anthony Beauvillier skates circles around him in practice. In conclusion, Andrew Ladd has a top 10 worst contract in the league

But he has a high cups/60 and was a former captain so he cant have a bad contract

He's not as good as he used to be. He's definitely not worth 11M. His deal brings him to 36, and he has a 7 team M-NTC

I am so sick of having this debate, if you really want to know, watch him. The guy has had nothing but bottom pair D partners since Robyn Regehr. You'll see when Byfield and all the youth comes up again.

Its not worse than Vlasic or Seabrook but its certainly better than Suter and Parise. He was way more term and makes a lot more money. He was a replacement level defenseman this year and deserves like 2 million at best if you look at his level of production this year. It's hard to compare with goalies because you never know how good/bad they will be. Bob or Price could both bounceback next year and be 1 and 2 in the vezina conversation. As for Weber, yes it's a lot of term, but you are lying to yourself if you don't think Weber wasn't worth 7 million dollars this year. He is still a top 30 defenseman in the NHL

He literally had Jake Muzzin and Alec Martinez on his team for the longest time

If you're taking into consideration the teams, then the same argument could be made for Price, who is still a top goalie who's never had good defense nor good backups since forever. It shouldn't be double standards.
