Nah I don’t think so. Thinking Holl has more value than Manson is absurd. You’re not getting rid of a top prospect or top player. You need depth ( Deslauriers ) and a grinder ( Deslauriers ).

Who said Holl has more value than Manson? However it is much closer than this trade gives it credit for. Thinking Manson is worth both Holl and Mikheyev is absurd. The Leafs FWD depth is not really an issue, and even if it was, Deslauriers really wouldn't help that. He can punch things, but he's not so great at hockey. He's not worth downgrading from a 2nd to a 4th.

Holl put up twice the points Manson did, was a +18 to Manson -10, stayed healthy all season and is half the cost lol

Let's be real here, the +/- argument (especially considering the 50 goal gap in terms of differential between the two teams) is pretty suspect, but they had quite comparable defensive metrics while being used in pretty similar contexts (QoC, QoT, DZ start ratio). Then with the offensive output and dollar value like you mentioned, as well as an extra year on Holl's deal... The value gap is not very big.

I'd rather keep Holl and Mikheyev.
If we were getting the Manson from 3 years ago then I would have considered this but not now.
