On top of the fact that noone is going to take your cap dumps for nothing. Ferland just started practicing yesterday and is expected to be available for the restart and definitely be healthy to play next season so you cannot just out him on LTIR because you don't like his contract. Teams would never be in cap trouble if they could just dump bad contracts on LTIR or too other teams without paying any price. Unfortunately in the real world the Canucks are going to have to trade a player they won't want to or let one of their UFA'S walk that they don't want to because of their cap mess. Only other solution is too package there prospects and picks with their bad contracts and hope they can find enough takers.
