Description

Leaf fans are over reacting, does the team have flaws? yes. is the team in a slump? yes. But i see people while the leafs have a 2 point lead on a playoff spot trying to sell everyone.

Iv said it since Anderson lost to the Stars, Campbell should be the starter to finish the season or until he cools off.

Campbell got 7/8 points for TOR with a 0.919 SV%.
Freddie is a since December is an 0.880. While some of that is on the horrid defence of TOR in the most general terms when you are being paid 5m to make saves sometimes you gotta make a save or two.

IF i was TOR in this TDL due to the prices the only thing i would consider is trading Barrie because the return on rentals is so good. If you can trade to EDM Barrie for a Package that include Bouchard id would be ok with that. Other then maybe Bouchard/a RHD Top 4 prospect in the 19-22 age range Id rather keep him as an own rental.

That's not going to happen. Let's put it this way, would you trade Liljegren for a rental defenceman right now? If the answer is no, then Edmonton would also say no for Bouchard.

Anything you're getting (pick or prospect) is years away and is probably only ammunition for Dubas to be aggressive in the offseason, which would be the only reason I'd think about dealing Barrie. Plus I hate him and he stinks.

There's just no way the oilers are trading Bouchard. But especially barrie who they probably can't resign. I really think Bouchard is off the table unless they're blown away

both are. they're the future in edm. heck edm might even let nurse walk down the road, but unless you're giving a younger player of equal value/potential, this trade is an easy no. if barrie was 22, sure

Andersen hasn't been good this year. They are trying to get him going again because that's when hes best but it's to late for that. I dont agree with the lines keefes running either

That team lives and dies with McDavid and Draisaitl. If they are in their prime now, they should be insulating them with the players who can help get it done. That means surrendering a prospect or two along the way.

The Leafs are not good enough to succeed with anything less that stellar goaltending. Andersen has always been on the very high end of Average, and he's been flat out bad since December.

If it felt like it could really be our year and there was a good enough player available, of course I'd consider it. But that's just not the reality for this team this season.

If EDM is in a "win now" mode which they should be given their roster and they feel a player is the piece they need to win. Id have no problem giving up Liljegren. Like said above depends on the player coming back. If you could Rental version of Barrie 1:1 for Liljegren id take it assuming the team feels that is a piece that can significantly help their chances at winning a cup.

I don't know. Which one gets Edmonton Marner or Nylander? I'm not a fan off either team just a 3rd party trying to illustrate a point.

Leafs and Edmonton could help one another out, but as I've said over and over again, it takes something to get something. Leafs would be dead-set on Nurse plus Bouchard. So what would that take from Toronto? My guess is Kapanan and Dermott. It wouldn't be a 2-for-2 deal, but it would be more of a hockey deal then some of other stuff floating around these AGMs. And for all your Leafs fans, Nurse has played his off-side before.

nope. u build for long term success. both those guys are locked up for the next half a decade at least. edm will be a legit contender in 2-3 years. bouchard, broberg, yamamoto will make them one of canada's best teams. ahead of the leafs habs sens jets, and just ahead or on par with the canucks

Why are leafs fans all of a sudden trading for bouchard in a barrie deal. Bouchard is projected to be barrie and better defensively?? Not to mention Barrie is a rental. EDM would never make this move

Kind of it wasn't as much about value but more about importance to their respective teams. Broberg is Holland's first pick as GM of the Oilers he isn't moving him. Bouchard is the second best drafted D prospect not yet in the NHL behind Romanov in Montreal.

Not even close. Nurse + Bouchard is going to cost you one of the big-name players (Matthews, Marner, Nylander) with Toronto retaining a significant portion of their salary and a 1st round pick. Even then, I don't think Holland bites until some of the other defense prospects develop to the points where they're ready to step in.

This was more of an Idea then anything. Id be ok giving up Kap + Barrie for Bouchard + 1st. Just the general idea of what would be a return package or making a package for a type of player that Bouchard is.
