Lafreniere has got to be one of the most overrated players I’ve ever seen. I don’t understand what’s so impressive about the kid. He’s got no speed, no skill, no agility and no creativity. He’s only capable of delivering dirty hits. Can’t believe I see people compare him to Caufield, who broke the record for most goals ever scored in the US National Development Program. Caufield can shoot the puck from anywhere, by far the better player and it’s not even close. ‪Canadians love to hype up their players like they are the best, when clearly, the Americans are the one and only great hockey nation. ‬

I know this is sarcasm and all but I thought Caufield was rather poor today. Turned the puck over quite a bit thru the first 2 periods. Settle down in the 3rd but overall wasn’t very good.

Canada bribed the referee to gift them this game. There were so many dirty plays that weren’t called against them and that last second goal in the second period should’ve counted. They dived for powerplays all game. USA played better and deserved to win 100%. As for Lafreniere, the only reason why he scores so many points is because he gets lucky. Most of his goals and assists are flukes. He’s going to need Dylan Larkin to carry him if he wants to be effective.

That goal 100% did not count. Even my dad (American and cheeeing for USA) said there is no way the clock didnt run out first

Lafreniere is nothing special? He's the first to score 40 goals on his rookie season in the QMJHL since Crosby. CHL player the following season. I bet he would've challenged Jack Hughes for the 1st overall pick if he was born a month early

Since he's nothing special, I guess you would go nuts if the Hawks win the 1st overall pick of 2020

If I were Stan Bowman in that situation I’d 100% trade that number one pick for Cole Caufield. The problem is, the Habs management is dumb enough to decline that.

Then your dad is not a true USA fan. That was clearly a goal, it beat the buzzer 100%. Everyone knows that was in. The reason why the referees don’t show us the clock is because they are getting paid big money to help Canada win.

He plays with in the freaking CHL, the lowest level junior league in all of hockey. If he was playing in the NCAA, he wouldn’t even put up 10 points!

Mitch Marner went 4th Overall. Does he mean he was the fourth best player of his draft? Nope. He wasn’t even top 30.
