IMO, Nylander isn't gong to be moved right now. His trade value is low after last year. Leafs aren't moving a RWer, until Marner is signed. His 7m AAV X 5 seems high though his 4.9m annual cash payout is low for a budget conscious team.
Nylander still has the ability to be a good centre. If Tavares or Matthew is injured, it's Nylander who might fill that role.
Next April if the Leafs are knocked out if the first round or miss the playoffs, then there should be a serious thought on moving a big cap (possibly Nylander) for a big cap Dman. Of course a head coach change should be the first priority.
