I'm not moving Dermott unless someone overpays to get him.

I think Colin Miller is likely easy target to acquire

Miller is easy one yes, for 2nd Pair, was thinking someone with more upside

Dermott , with the emerging of Sandin fell down the depth chart, next year he will be 3 x 3,5M, im not sure if i see him as 2nd Pair LHD or RHD, so if we package him with ppl and picks above, someone "bigger" can be fished....

You can get Murphy from CHI. Surplus of d men there since they acquired Maatta and De haan.

CHI packed them pretty nice yes tho Murphy is Miller level i would say, the package is pretty rich, trying to fish "big". Miller and Murphy are more patching then upgrading....

You aren’t going to find a true number one d man that makes 4 mil. And to trade to get a number one dman, Kap, nylander or Johnsson will be involved.

Proly true yes, tho there are quite many prominent names when you go into players mode for searching, so mostly players that didnt make it to $$ rise after first contract. Cap is tight so those two terms needs to be forfilled, 9M for two and both at least 3y, so money will amass for the resignings in next years coming.....

Hmm for RD potentially available on the market this is how I would rank them (factoing in Corsi and contract length):

Doughty (this has been floating around recently for some reason)
Barrie (pricey)
Pesce (highly unlikely now)
Spurgen (pricey
Ristolainen
Faulk
Brodie
Miller
Vatanen
Larsson
Juulsen
Savard
Stetcher
Hamonic (great PK'r)
Honka
Shattenkirk
Mayfield
Tanev
Pulock
Benning
Murphy (great PK'r, better then Miller in that department)
Stone
Schenn

I disagree with you on Dermott. He got injured and when he came back only two games in the regular season and playoffs started.
Remember when Matthews came back from his shoulder injury? It took him a month and a half to get back to his normal self/production. Dermott was not going to look good no matter what in that situation.

I definitely think Dermott is better than he showed in the playoffs and he will be.
As for Miller, there's only two reasons why he's an option for the Leafs....neither of them are good reasons tho.
Trickster a aimé ceci.
