Kasper's number in the SHL are the same as Raymonds numbers were at the same age...and he's a center. Scouts rave about his competitiveness and coachability. Why would you not be stoked about him? Dude has Henrik Zetterberg 2.0 written all over him.

Easy decline from Wings.
Keep the 1st. Ras and Kasper and take your chances to sign Horvat as a UFA. If you dont get him you still have Ras, Kasper and a 1st.
Ras is a late bloomer but he really looks to be finding his place in the NHL. It will only go up for him.
Kasper is a very good prospect. Same numbers as Raymond had in the SHL at the same age.

Potential deadline deals
Detroit would want a 3rd or a 4th in this years draft. Colorado has neither.

2023 Offseason
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DeadWingsv2</b></div><div>Meh... he's underwhelming and we're not buyers... I wouldn't hate the deal if Detroit did it, but I'm not looking to add Krebs...</div></div>
He's a 1st round talent and only 21. For the price of a 2nd (50% chance becomes an NHL player) and a 3rd (25% chance becomes an NHL player) not to mention these picks are NHL players in 3-4 years time.
Krebs is a NHL ready player now and he would help the re-build. It would be a very good deal for Detroit. Unfortunately it would also be a bad deal for Buffalo. Hence they would never do this.

Erik Karlsson Trade
Retaining 50% on Karlsson for the next 4 years at 5.25m dead cap is a tough pill to swallow. I also doubt Buffalo would give up that many picks for a guy whos 32 years old. Karlsson is approaching that age where performance historically tends to start dropping off. Not saying it will 100% happen with him but I'd be shocked if he's still a PPG defenseman at 35-36 years old. Karlsson is having an amazing bounce back year. But remember two years ago he had 22 points in 52 games played.

Horvat Bertuzzi Swap
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Juiceman</b></div><div>They want players in their low 20s. Why would the Canucks trade Horvat for somebody is age but is also way worse, and going to be very expensive? 0 logic there.</div></div>
I’ve seen the trades Canucks fans make on here. They think they’ll get an A prospect or a top 20-25 year old player + a 1st Round pick for Horvat who’s a pending UFA and won’t be resigning. Not exactly oozing with logic.

Horvat Bertuzzi Swap
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TheAlien</b></div><div>I'm not expecting any team's top 6 centers in return. I'm expecting picks and either young players/prospects</div></div>
FYI Canucks are on record saying they want top established NHL players in exchange. They do not want picks and prospects. They’d take a Tyler Bertuzzi if they can lock him up over a 1st round pick or 1st round prospect. They want to compete next season. Sorry dude. You likely won’t be happy with the results of the upcoming Horvat trade.

Horvat Bertuzzi Swap
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TheAlien</b></div><div>The last thing the Canucks need are expensive wingers</div></div>
Bertuzzi won’t be that expensive. Less than Boeser. I think for what Bertuzzi will come in at plus Rasmussen cap hit combined. It will still be lower than Horvats cap hit. But Vancouver is unlikely to pry out a top 6 Center from any team in exchange for Horvat. Teams are looking to add to their Center depth in any deal for Horvat. Not swap top 6 centres and get the pricier contract in exchange.

From a Wings perspective, I don't think Ned has a future with the club after this season so why not swap goalies and see if a change of scenery benefits either of them.

Doubtful a team will claim a player who's fresh out of addictions rehab who's got 5.25m cap hit for the next 2 years and whos return conditioning stint in the AHL has also not gone that well. 3 GP, 0 PTS, -5 +/-
Could happen but I'd be shocked if a team is willing to lock up that much cap hit on a risky player

Wallinder is easily just as good of a prospect as Heinola if not better. And he's 6'4" and Heinola is only 5'11"
Plus the STL 2nd in a deep draft when STL is having a down year? Pick likely to fall in the 40-45 range. Easy pass.

Appetite for moving Kubalik this season is extremely low considering his play, his cap hit and his term.
New Jersey would have to overpay at the moment so Detroit declines this trade

ReBuild
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Caniac2000</b></div><div>No they wouldn't. Pasta's a great player. He's also expiring at the end of the year and is notoriously injury-prone. Jarvis is coming off a 40-point year in 60 games. Jarvis is a non-starter for Pasta.</div></div>
Injury prone? Pastrnak has missed a total of 98 games over the past 7 years, not counting rookie year where he played a near full season but just split between NHL and AHL. This works out to missing 14 games a season on the average. Hardly anything to really cry about and especially not a good reason to say I'll take Seth Jarvis over him. Even if Jarvis never misses another game in his career and obliterates the ironman record, he'll still never come close to Pastrnak's point totals even with Pastrnak missing average 14 games a year. Just lunacy and a complete over value of your own prospects. Jarvis + a 1st isn't even close to getting a deal done for Pastrnak as a pending UFA.
To further debunk the injury argument. Pastrnak playing only half the year is worth more than a full 82 games of Jarvis.
Pastrnak's 1.8ppg pace would put him at 74 points in 41 games. Jarvis's career pace of 0.558 ppg would put him at 46 points in a full 82...

That Bunting contract hahaha
I would die of laughter if the Bruins did that. Would be far and away the worst contract in the NHL.
Also you can't re-sign Pastrnak to an 8 year deal if you trade him away at the deadline.

Canes would happily let Jarvis go in a deal for Pastrnak. Pastrnak is the NHL's leading scoring after the McDavid Draisaitl combo. Jarvis would be lucky to reach half of Pastrnak's level.

below 500 by 20 games make some moves
Detroit declines very fast. It's been very bad luck losing Bertuzzi and very unfortunate losing Vrana due to personal issues. But that's no reason to have a knee jerk reaction and make a trade like this just to acquire more fire power in the short term. Horvat is a UFA after all. Detroit is not in a position to be trading 1st round picks away and won't be for any player unless they are a superstar. Bo Horvat is a good player but not a superstar.

Detroit declines. Järnkrok has too much term. Erne is a UFA, gone after this year and his likely departure opens up a roster spot for a young player Detroit drafted. One of Berggren, Kaspar, Hanas, Mazur.
