Commend you for changing the 5th to a 4th on the ANA trade but some of these are still very far off fair value.

Methinks you need to look up "Leo Carlsson" and "Lukas Reichel".

I dunno why nobody likes the Carlsson trade. Same amount of goals in 55 games on a horrible ducks team in his first year in NHL compared to Mcleod in 81 games, plus salary dump of Mcleod's contract for younger player with similar skillset.

Its a phenomenal trade for the Oilers lol but the Ducks would never be dumb enough to let it happen.

So basically need to throw in another draft pick and prospect to make it happen.

Sooooo......I need to dump Ceci and his contract and I am big on getting Lukas Reichel....What would it take for Chicago to accept the trade???? picks, prospects???

Not to mention Edmonton short on picks, but heavy on reserves.

There is probably almost nothing the Oilers could do short of trading a core player that would make the Ducks want to move on from Carlsson.

Leo was just picked 2nd overall behind Bedard lol. As an 18-19 year old rookie he put up .5 PPG on a bad team, he isn't getting moved.

So the Carlsson trade. McLeod was drafted in 2018, and is 24 years old right now, doing ok in the regular season, but terrible in the playoffs. Carlsson was picked in 2023 2OA by Anaheim , because they think he has good potential to become a top 6 forward in the NHL. Hes also just 19, so a lot younger than McLeod, and recorded 29 points in 55 games in his rookie season. His value is way higher than McLeods, and so much that the only guys that we could trade that would get us Carlsson are McDavid, and Draisaitl IF they went with an extension. You do not trade top 6 potential centers that was just drafted for a bottom 6 forward, when you are trying to get better and build your team through the draft, like Anaheim. I guarantee he will have a better season in every aspect, than McLeod will next year.

Which is why neither the Ana nor Chi trade happen. Hawks aren’t giving Reichel away and Ana is in the same boat. Neither trade has enough value for non Edmonton teams.
