No reason at all for the Sabres to do anything like that

Having fun
First, it’s not gonna happen (obviously)
But it is an interesting idea
Probably the only place Skinner would waive for
And maybe-MAYBE- Tavares waives for Buffalo if the Sabres agree to an extension with him….
BUT it probably won’t be easy for the 2 sides to agree on the numbers
And idk that the Leafs or Sabres would even wanna do the swap
But again, interesting idea
Just don’t see it happening

Idk about that
You overvalue him- goalies rarely (if ever) get a haul when traded

Harder To Play Against
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DongLord23</b></div><div>That doesn't make him harder to play against. It's the opposite. Other teams feast when he's on the ice. He's got one of the worst CF% and xGF when on the ice. He's been outscored by 12 goals when he's on the ice. Other teams get excited when he's on the ice because they know they can score goals.</div></div>

Harder To Play Against
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>earl08</b></div><div>So, here's where you actually have to use your brain. What Harder To Play Against player would you rather have besides Anderson? If its Krebs, then that goes against the theme of this roster & isn't worth my time. If its someone like Clutterbuck, then state your case. This is a roster of men, not one of sissies.</div></div>
Well your condescending remarks aren’t worth my time
1- Anderson sucks. Idc care that he racks up hits. Hitting doesn’t necessarily make u tougher to play against
2- I’d rather have a guy who skates well, can forecheck & put on pressure, & plays feisty getting under the skin of our opponents- like Krebs for example
I do agree the Sabres need to get tougher to play against
But a few more hits a game doesn’t change much. We could use a few more players who can do the things i described above though, bc a guy like that is MUCH tougher to play against imo, than a guy who sucks that lays a few hits
Especially an old guy who gets hurt a lot & is overpaid- like Anderson. I seriously wouldn’t take him for free at 50% off.
He’s terrible
And sorry if u can’t handle someone who disagrees with you
Anderson sucks- zero interest- the end

The following year, you’ve gotta give Byram & Quinn & Peterka new contracts- good luck fitting them under the Cap
And the year after, Tuch & Benson need new deals
Sabres have to budget their Cap this offseason

if it isnt eller, it needs to be someone else because that team needs a veteran in the locker room.</div></div>
And we don’t have to pay that Cap hit or a 3rd + to get them
Wow

As good as he is, we just can’t take on a contract like that moving forward

I wonder what balance Kevyn Adams can find for retaining pending restricted free agents between bridge contracts and decent term. Use cap space the right way.</div></div>
I think Cap hit will play a big role in that process

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>cwhitney29</b></div><div>just depends on how much you value his intangibles and off ice traits (veteran presence, championship pedigree, the whole "this is what championship teams do" shtick). very reliable player, chips in just enough offense. also everytime he has the puck in the offensive zone he will try to cut his way to the slot regardless of whether or not its a good idea (which gets to be more or less amusing and kinda funny after you see it enough).</div></div>
He’s a 4C
He doesn’t have much value, and they plenty of other choices who are comparable players

Who would u prefer….
Compher at $5.1mil for 4 years ?
OR
Colton at $4.0mil for 3 years ?
I’d have to do a deep dive to choose, but right now I’m thinking the cheaper guy the better
Avs can’t hold any Cap hit, but maybe Detroit would be willing ?
Obviously idk though- just my guess
