I won't be sad to end up not top two. My strategy is to pay no attention at all to the top two or three prospects so I can't be disappointed, anyway. Last year was fun because Fantilli was totally new to me at the draft as I'd been paying all my attention to Carlsson and Smith. Bedard who? Celebrini who?

I don't see the Hawks going for that deal w/ the conditional pick. The 2nd and 4th w/ no conditions the Hawks might go for. Laine is a talented offensive player for sure, but there's lots of warts to his game too. He's really not a $9m a year player.

I know he’s Austrian, but go get Marco Rossi from Minnesota and Vincent Iorio from Washington. We’ve already had Sonny Milano, though. Who else is Italian? Mat Barzal is, but that name doesn’t have the flair.
