Zegras back in rumors

Description
Just looking at the possible trades Habs could give to ANA for Zegras. And before some of the most vocal fans out there hitting that Zegras seems to be worth 3X 1st picks, an established 50 goal scorer and more.. Don't get your hopes up. For the last two years, we've seen high ranked players go for far less just because of attitude and underachievement's on their part. Zegras is one of those where he's not happy, he ain't looking to stay for long and needs a new city to restart his career. His value isn't a big thing he's currently a 0.73pts/game player since he started playing in the NHL and yes it can go up, but given his recent issues, he may be valued less than some may think.

So, trade for Zegras, young players and a veteran than can help now but, all of which can be traded down the line for value; plus give picks.. Also, for those thinking Dvorak is of no worth in a trade, Habs traded not once, but twice Petry for picks, and got a 2nd rounder for Allen who most here were saying he's worth a bag of practice rubber pucks.

Sign Marchesseault to end his career here in MTL, for three years which will not affect MTL capabilities of signing Slaf, Ghule, and Primeau the year after.

IF Lindstrom is still available, I would pick him or Catton, depending who's available at that time.

Scratch Anderson, heck send him down to Laval to give him a reality check. Habs gave him all chances to get himself back to playing to a higher standards and he didn't respond. Armia did.

*Armia, I would trade him out during summer tidd

Détails additionnels:
While ANA doesn't need cap space, they need it to move Dvorak to another team so they can also retain cap. Dvorak becomes more attractive to lots of team if you get him to under 2M$/year during the year or at TDL. Norlinder needs a new start so he's a switch for ANA and MTL. Anaheim are going into a full rebuild also, they have to clear the locker room of the negativity, so why not make moves to bring more new blood, a seasoned center, and picks.

  3. Dvorak, Christian (2 225 000 $ retained)

Détails additionnels:
Groulx needs a new start so he's a switch for ANA and MTL with Norlinder. Dvorak brings in leadership and ability to play center for them, including possible trade options at low cost for ANA; Barron and Harris bring in more young blood to the Blue line to build for ANA and again, possible trade options during the year. Beck is a very good prospect for their future center line. The key pieces here are the Draft picks.

What about switching Marchessault for Stamkos ?

He already have a close relation with St-Louis and if someone who can helm more to send the coach ideas to the players, it's Stamkos.

I love how ANA and Habs fans are fighting for the price of Zegras... and then In August, he will be traded to Utah for an underwhelming package and BOTH fan bases will be disapointed.

Look, I'm a neutral fan here, the only piece that remotely hurts montreal here is beck. You probably have to include something you will miss- not 4 pieces you will miss, but something with more quality, less quantity.

Nah, AGM are made to dream and imagine your team in a better state. Just ignore them or ask @Capfriendly to bring back the stars system of grading.

What is in the water in MTL? Why is this still happening? 🤦‍♂️

ANA has zero, and I mean zero reason to trade Zegras unless they land an NHL ready LHC in the draft, which means the 11.5% chance they hit on Celebrini. Every rumor has been shut down, Zegras isn’t available

Wouldn't mind that option also. Just don't know if Stamkos will move out of Tampa or want to end his career there.

I don't even respond to him.. I added him to the ignore list for awhile.. He's like a 5 year old throwing tantrums when he doesn't like something. Can't put two phrases with some sustenance behind it. While some may not like this AGM I put out there, it's just one possibility of many, and I'm fully conscious that there are at least 20 other teams that would get involved and may even be better pieces in a deal than MTL. But Mtl will not be giving up Caufield, Suzuki, Reinbacher, Ghule, or Slaf for someone like Zegras who is going out in the media showing that he's not happy with ANA not giving him the big bucks.

And then you have some fans who can't see his actual value based on his points, his plus minuses, and his attitude in ANA, they think all teams will give out 2 top 10 first picks, two 100pts players and the moon.

Meh, I can't fault a fan for overvaluing their players - we do the same.

The spirited debates make it fun
