I don't think Chychrum is a Bruins type guy. That entire team is built on identity and Jakob isn't it.

Maybe he buys into their culture but unless Chych starts using his body Boston won't want him.

Too bad all Canadian teams are on Linus Ullmark s no trade list, Once again this has been reported for quite awhile. Ullmark doesn't want to play in Canada. Especially on a bottom feeder Sens team.

I disagree . I think the bruins are the perfect situation for him . Playing next to Carlo and behind Lindholm-McAvoy with a solid goalie behind him will do wonders for his confidence back

If lindholm is signing that cheap he’s going to want max term or a 1 year deal to increase his value. This is probably his last chance to cash out he’s not going to sign a deal that takes him out of his prime

Boston was rumored to be interested by Chychrun before his trade and even in 2022. They need a top4 LD and as a 26yo, he makes a lot of sense.

Once again. We only know what his parameters are if he isn’t given an extension. If this comes with a long term extension, he may find it more appealing . He won’t be eligible for one until July 1st.

Staying in Boston waiting to be separated from his fanily for months and then identifying where he wants to go as a free agent may be more appealing to him. He does seem to value certainty

BOS would need too add, and Ulmark not the G OTT would want, his next contract starts at age 32

Ullmark is also a significantly better player and Boston has the cap flexibility to sign a player at Chychrun’s position who isn’t coming off a bad year. I could see Ullmark to Jersey for a first and third (or an equivalent prospect) with those going to Ottawa for Chychrun.

With regard to Lindholm. If he signs a 4 or 5 year deal, my bet is it is at 8.5m. Basically, the discount you get is in years instead of dollars from what he could have signed for at the beginning of the year
