Keep DeBrincat
The month of March has been a push to see if Ottawa can climb into the wild card race. In 11 games ADB has 1 goal , 3 assists , -9 , while averaging ~ 19 minutes a night. His shooting % is .03. He is not helping to prove his value right now.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>palhal</b></div><div>You're right but here is the dilemma. A know stats don't tell the whole story of "value". DeBrincat is 91st for points per game among forwards.......91st is now paid 5.8m
Do Sens pay what they think he will be in later years or think they have to pay him "star" salary becomes they gave so much to acquire him.</div></div>
Great point , personally I don’t think they should. Put some coin towards a goalie. I would not hitch my wagon to a horse recovering from double MCL tears.

2025 season Cap Structure
Ottawa should consider that offer. Seems like Thomson is sliding down the depth chart , especially with Kleven about to sign and Guenette’s continued improvement. He would be better off moving to a new club.

If Swayman is on the market lots of teams will be interested , that will drive up the cost. I can see Ottawa being in the mix, they may lob Pinto for him.

Decent offer , 1st , affordable top6 RW and a B prospect is the return I think Dorion should pursue

Ottawa might consider Perron , 1st & 2nd. Perron could slot in place of ADB on the second line for 1 year. Perron would fit in well with Ottawa, good value contract anda complete player who has a bit of an edge.

I get what you are saying CSICK, you know I am not a fan of Chabot but you need to get a good return. Chychrun, Sanderson, Chabot all top 4 left shot D so if 72 is moved there is not big hole IMO.
Batherson stops moving his feet in the defensive zone and gets caught flat footed. Explosive player with the puck in stride , he needs better mentoring to round out his game. It wont be hard to move a player with his offensive skill and AAV.
ADB i like but not at 9 million , they need to invest in a number 1 goalie.

Decent offer but as GL said Vegas can’t afford DeBrincat, other salary moves would need to be done. Roy would be solid on the 3rd line.
Not a fan of Tatar so I would vote no on adding him , Ottawa need some solid 200 foot players in the bottom 6.

Like the Hanifin , ADB deals. Really like the Gudas signing. On the fence about Bertuzzi. No to Reaves and Engvall……biggest need will be a #1 tender.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Bruinz_16</b></div><div>Batherson is a young up and coming 50+ point player on a nice deal. Tanev is a a good player but I wouldn’t trade a roster player / top 6 like Batherson for him. Picks, prospects or a free agent signing for a dude like that. You could probably get 90% of Tanev for a 2-3 million defenseman.</div></div>
Like I said if Tanev was a few years younger it would be worth a sniff. Ottawa needs someone with a solid defensive game to play with Sanderson, that is the type of player I would trade Batherson for. For 10 seasons Tanev played top 4 minutes as a shutdown guy. His best days are behind him now.
Batherson is a very good player on a very nice contract as you noted, his defensive game needs help though. Great when the puck is on his stick , nose for the net & a good shot but without the puck he seems to stop moving his feet. Lets put this to sleep the trade ain’t happening

Sokolov over Ostapchuk , Kelly , Reinhardt , extra guy ……bring this guy up from Belleville and fish or cut bait with him. He has put up numbers and paid his dues.

Donovan is a sleeper , I would not part with him. Bjugstad should be going to a team that is pretty much confirmed to make the playoffs, he would be one and done in Ottawa.

if Tanev was 3 years younger I would do this deal . He will be 34 next season and on the last year of his current deal.
Batherson will be 25 next season and has 4 years left on a very nice contract @ 4.975 AAV and he is entering his prime.
Close but no cigar, I do like Tanev as a player.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Claesson4Norris</b></div><div>Kastelic will definitely be back before the end of the year. They've got him working in Belleville to re-find his game, but to me he was the best of any the guys currently on the 4th line. He's getting some good reps in Belle Vegas, it'd be nice for him to get some NHL level wingers to play with when he gets back.</div></div>
I like prospect of Kastelic , Gauthier and Sokolov as the 4th line next year. Some big bodies.

Agreed on who you propose being moved , Motte to the Rangers seems like a popular choice .
Dorion has likely been told to keep a low profile until the sale of the team is done.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Xspyrit</b></div><div>Yeah, as of now, Formenton is not getting traded or signed until the situation is resolved
His value right now is null but if he gets "cleared", then it's a lot more than being transpired here
I find these proposals very bad for Ottawa
Sens first is currently 10th OA, Brannstrom has progressed very nicely this season and has the 10th lowest 5v5 xGA/60 among D-men. Crouse is not worth that to me when DeBrincat was worth a 7th OA + 2nd + 3rd in a much much worse draft
The Flames deal is ultra bad for Ottawa. Weegar starts a 6.25 AAV 8 years contract at 30 y/o and seemed to have peaked offensively 2 years ago. Kyllington has been MIA and lost of value this season
Even if you take away Formenton (who should not be in proposals AT ALL), DeBrincat + Thomson is a massive overpayment</div></div>
You’re not getting Weegar for his offence , he provides stability for one your top 2 LD while Zub gets the other assignment. He put up good offensive numbers playing with Ekblad the past couple of years but he is not an offensive D man. It’s likely a moot point anyways cause I don’t see Calgary moving him or wanting to deal with a contract for ADB.
Some of you people take this too seriously . This all fantasy.

I like both deals , but according to AZ fans Crouse is the next C of the Coyotes and not in play.
Risk reward in the Calgary deal. A couple of players who may come back and make a difference or may not play again. Not sure Thomson needs to be included.
These are fair offers on both sides for a change.

A little buying
Looks good except I don’t think Pierre will be buying until the new ownership is in place. Bonino would be a really good add for a playoff bound team.
The first 2 trades can be done off season. I would be more inclined to retain some $ on Zaitsev and give a lower pick.
